  1. Thanks.. yeah I definitely struggled with the ride height.. I think I read after the fact that I should have trimmed/customized to make it fit better. Yes, for sure Rustoleum was a bad choice. Tamiya is the way to go for sure.. I have a Lincoln Mark VII ready to go next that will be getting the Tamiya treament. Will post those soon.
  2. I used to build model cars as a teenager in the 1990s.. It's been a while and I wanted to get back into it, so I dusted off the monogram Lotus Espirit kit I had been holding on to for all these years. I should have done some research first, as I quickly realized this was a pretty challenging kit. It really kicked my butt.. vague instructions, parts that you can't tell how they fit until you place 2 or 3 subsequent parts.. plus I'm sure some of the parts had warped over the years. I used Rustoleum gloss white for the body.. I think it went on too thick, I probably did 1 or 2 too many coats. Anyway, it's done, I had fun, and glad I'm getting back into the craft. I'm ready to start another.. let me know what i need to work on.. any suggestions are appreciated.
