  1. I think it is both an art and a craft, because it all starts in your head and from there some people can put it down on paper or some people can make it into a 3d model, or they can even go all out and bring it to life with a 1:1. OR some can do all three! I think the whole automotive world is a section in art all its own, you can't compare it to anything else other than itself really.
  2. This thing is ready for Chevrolet orange! I had to back track a bit the other day since when i was putting the front and back frame rails together I saw that the front was a little crooked so i had to disassemble it and get it straighted out. To the naked eye it still looks crooked, but when i run a straight line down the middle of the whole chassis it all lines up nice.... It's frustrating but it will have to do, next time Ill come up with a better way to do it...lol
  3. Ok, got the pics back up
  4. Yea, I moved my pics around and put them in albums, I just havent got the new image codes in place on here yet. sorry bout that
  5. Im out, I didnt even get close to being done...
  6. Wow! this thing is gonna look MEAN!
  7. Awesome! the white lettering on the front tires is a nice touch, makes it stand out.
  8. Working on the frame today, here's a few mock up pics.
  9. Lucky kid... I wish I had one of those! Looks great!
  10. Another quick mock up. Found some white walls for the rear, since theyre narrower than the last slicks i had on there I put some shallower mags on the back. Set the 409 in there to see how its gonna look. I need to get pics to see how to set up the blower with six 2 barrels, just kinda rigged that up for now just to see how tall it would be.
  11. Oh now Mark, come on... lol I hate your dosages of reality. You have a good point, but I cant really agree that it couldnt happen, I just dont think it will happen. A person, or more like a group of people could do this if thats what they were focused on and had enough funds and the right game plan. In todays world it seems everyone has a price so it could be possible with A LOT of work.
  12. That looks great, I love the engine. Welcome and its nice to see another Dirk on here... haha
  13. Just a small update, right now Im layin out the new front frame rails, getting ready to glue it all together. Then Im thinkin of using some bullet center caps on the rear wheels, i kind of like em long but i may shorten them up a bit.
  14. I like this idea and think it would be a good investment, but the trouble is getting enough people to think so to actually get it to work.
  15. That glue is bound to be dry by now!! lol
  16. Welcome back! I know what you mean, I was gone for a bit as well but then I got some new inspiration so I jumped right back into it.
  17. I think people underestimate some of the V8s, they actually get pretty good mileage. My carburated 305 '87 monte carlo gets better gas mileage than my moms '99 blazer with a v6... how does that work? I dont have a problem with 4 cylinders, they are good on gas, except around here there are quite a few hills to go up... thats when they guzzle gas, some of them just dont have the power. But anywho, i dont think gas prices will ever stop me from getting v8 cars, if i cant drive them ill just walk or ride a bike...lol
  18. Im not much of a Mustang man but I like it, especially since its one of the earlier fox bodied stangs, Ive hardly ever seen anyone trick them out.
  19. Looks good, but theres too much of that copper color in the engine bay.
  20. I wanna see more!!!
  21. Looks great, I like the two tone interior.
  22. Welcome! and great build!
  23. Thanks a lot! Ill post it over there tomorrow probably when I get some more progress pics
