Neat build! Working on a '64 Chevelle myself.. but went in a different direction. Where most people would just cement the hood down, or rob the '65 Chevelle wagon for it's 327... I bought the '63 Chevy Nova wagon kit.. and my '64 Chevelle will have the 230 cubic inch inline 6 backed by a Powerglide. I've done my research, and yes, both the 194 and the 230 cubic inch sixes were available in the '64 Malibu hardtop and the Malibu SS, so it is correct.. remember the Super Sport was a trim package at this time, and didn't include an upgraded engine.

I purchased the AMT '59 Cadillac ambulance kit a couple days ago.. cool kit, even better than the old Ecto 1 kit. But I went another direction. I'm intrigued by both the '59 Cadillac Superior Broadmoor Skyway and the 1960 Pontiac Superior Caravelle (Google it if you're not sure), so I spent the afternoon modifying the interior by lowering a section of load floor, and installing the bench seat from the Jo-Han '66 Cadillac ambulance. No, the seat pattern is completely different, but at least it's a Cadillac seat! I used .010 Evergreen sheet for all modification work, including holes where the 2 jump seats were. It's going to look really cool! I'm now filling the roof light fixture holes. Hmm.. now what color to paint it..
