I've sprayed the clear over some chrome wheels before without any problems, but was to scared to spray it over decals.
Don't even think about getting it on clear parts. It will not work to tint windows.
I love that Porsche. It looks just like the ones I saw at the race here in Utah.

You sprayed scalefinishes clearcoat over the decals?
I've never done that. I figured it would be a bit hot and strip the decals off.
Looking great.

How well does that DHL red match the decals?
Looks good.

I love it.
Where did you get the decals? I have the correct colors for an Overnight truck, but no decals.
Thanks

I don't know how much interest there would be in this. There are no U-Haul models, but I thought it was cool.

Hi EveryoneI am putting out the word that the 2008 IPMS National Convention in Virginia Beach needs the help of our fellow car modelers and retailers. As of today we have ZERO automotive trophy packages sponsored. If you are a car club or just an individual you can sponsor a trophy pack for the paltry sum of Award Sponsorship:
Basic Trophy packs - $75
Best of/Special Awards - $90
Hope you can help out!

What color is that going to be?
Looks great.

I am working on the Revell 40 Ford Street Rod kit, and decided I'd use these Thickstun head covers on this engine. The package says they are 1/25 scale, but they are HUGE compared to the kit pieces. Am I missing something, are they supposed ot be that large? A quick Google Search exposed no photos to use for reference, so here I am...
Any help or light that could be shed would be appreciated!!!!
I found two pics ot the actual covers here http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74394
Hope this helps.

DOT3 Brake fluid as paint remover.

Yes, none of the models I build mind you, modeling is most certainly taken to an art form by a few modelers. The detail and execution of the subject matter is way beyond a simple hobby/craft.

What about the John Deere kits?

I've seen these cars up close at Salt lake. They are so cool.
You do beautiful work, keep us posted on this build.

I for one would REALLY want that Toronado. I'm thinking of Jay Leno's car.

The Iron Man R8 is just Ice Silver, has Carbon fiber side blades, Black interior, and California plates that read STARK 4. I'm sure Revell figured it would be more cost effective to let the modelers build it rather than cut paramount a check for using the name.

Is this going to be the stock Polo white with red interior, or custom colors?
It looks fantasic so far. I can't wait for the updates.

I'm with you gasman. Summer is when I really get ramped up to build models.

I know alot of people don't like ebay. But ebay always has a huge selection of aftermartek goodies. Just make sure you know what you want and how much it cost.

I just opened my store and wanted to get the word out.
I am currently offering. OEM correct Automotive colors in pre-thinned ready to airbrush acrylic basecoats.
Also a selection of colors for; Movie cars. Eleanor’s paint for both the new and old movie, Bullitt, and the Iron Man Audi R8.
Audi R10 TDI set. Corvette C5R and the C6R.
Check it out at http://stores.ebay.com/Scalefinishes
Having just opened, I would like to get some feedback on the sorts of items that other modelers would like to see in the store.
I am currently working on getting;
Police car, fire truck, ambulance, and heavy truck fleet colors. (Yellow freight, Roadway, Etc..)
6oz. Spray cans.
Let me know how you like the site, prices, selection or anything you would like to see in the future. Sandpaper, photo etch, carbon fiber decals, ETC…
Thanks
