Well some good progress over the holiday on the Ace Mover Replica #2. I have decided on a new company name however. Since Ace Moving is from the sixties and the second version has a wow factor power plant, it shall be "Rapid Transit" on the wooden moving body. LOL

LOL. I have the shake problem also. It's like laying a sewer with an earthquake in process. Hang in you will find ways of getting though.

1932 Chrysler roadster part?
Rossgo replied to Rossgo's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I did find instructions for the LeBaron, and it is similar and uses a lot of the same parts as the Roadster does. It is the hinge for the trunk on the LeBaron body! End of mystery. -
Small thing but anyway, does anyone know what these parts are for in the 1932 Chrysler roadster gangster edition. They are not listed in the instructions but are in the kit. I wonder if the are parts for a similar kit like the LeBaron with the trunk and are just kept on the sprug. Thanks

This is an interesting build because it started with a mistake. I am in the process of building a replica of my dad's 1940 Ford pickup. He wanted (but never aquired) a set of 1956 Chevy rear fenders for it. I went to eBay to find a set when I came upon a listing for a 1956 Chevy junk box! Cheap! I purchased it without investigating surprised to find anything. Mistake for when it arrived it was a 1953 Ford in the AMT 1956 Chevy box😮💨. Well I found the Chevy fenders later but started looking through the junk box from curiosity. One thing led to another and this is the result. Too much money spent but a great learning experience that will help with the 1940. Since the front suspension did not have rings I made some from ball point pen. The paint was something I wanted to try with Tamiya clear Orange based with a metalic silver. I am terrible at painting so this also is giving me some experience. Some of the things I have learned will help give the old man 40 replica justest.

Thanks everyone. I did a version of the winner but from memory and did not like the results. When I found the old article on line I decided to try again. I am in the process of working on that now. It has a V12 LS power plant from Texas 3D and planned two tone paint job in some blue and beige. I also like the wooden body better without stain. Just about every piece has been cut or modified so far! Must have been more ambitious back in the day 🤣.

My name is Ross Davis. I was an avid modeler in my youth. I built many a kit and one day learned of a contest Model Car Science was having concerning the new (at that time) Monogram Gangster Edition kits. The rules were to buy a kit and make it into a hot rod. I bought the 1932 Chrysler Roadster. I milled over it without an idea until bringing the Monogram Beer Wagon home and that was the start of the winner of the contest!. I had an obligation for military service to fulfill and got away from it for 58 years. I recently saw a post on social media about a model car swap meet, attended and saw a 1932 Monogram Chrysler kit and decided to replicate that model which was the begining of the new endevour I am now enveloped in. Hope to get some help with new technical help from the veterans and show some off my work. Thanks for your acceptance into the forum

I bought this kit for the same reason to build the rod. The kit I have has a lot of warped parts I am trying to work around. I have started building the stock pickup after a look at it 😜. Nice build. The color thing according to the model T club is about productivity. A side bar. Parts # 327,328 and 329 (chrome spur) are not mentioned in the instructions. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
