... Greetings ... : I hope everyone here is fine as well as family and friends. It has been awhile since my last post here including pictures. I was tasked but now have sometime. I tried posting this ealier but I was reminded of the photo limit ( ), I do have more than those allowed here, it so seems it is more feasible via YAHOO! MESSENGER or e-mail, but, oh well.

... Greetings my friend ... : Thank you for viewing. As for my EARNHARDT builds. I trust I have posted a few, if my memory serves me right, the most recent one here is on page 7 of this same TOPIC ( NASCAR ). It is titled "WAN'NA RACE ?" The POST was divided in two due to the picture count. Also, if you are into trading cards, in the November 2002 issue of BECKETT RACING ( no longer published ), one of my drawings was in it. More Dale Earnhardt models will be posted in time, trust me ... .

*** Mobil 1 - 25Th Anniversary *** ( Second Post )

... Greetings ... : Thanks John, to be honest , I really don't consider the paint scheme to difficult, i'm not saying it was not, I just never saw it that way. I saw it as a challenge and a good way to enjoy the hobby. I am working on the hood MOBIL 1 graphic, on the real car, it was holographic. I will post pictures of it when done. -

... Greetings ... : Thank you for the comment my friend, the various tire markings are hand painted , I enjoy doing it, that for me is part of the nitty gritty aspect of modeling , very fun . -
... Greetings ... : These are more pictures , in the first post ... the photo limit was exceeded .

... Greetings ... : The reflection due to the chrome on the wheels kind of distort the view of them as well as the side number .
-
... Greetings ... : I wish all here are fine . This car, altough very simple in it's color ( WHITE ), yet it was very eye catching on the track .
-
... Greetings ... : This one was very pleasent to build and it is amazing how yet a simple plain paint scheme ( all white ... ), can stick out in the collection . Your friend ; Erick

can anyone tell me anything about this model?
de3freak replied to Corvette.Jeff's topic in WIP: NASCAR
... Greetings ... : Mine is a 1/24 scale model. I am much in the same view as Clay, I would leave it in the case or display it in a dust free medium, like a display case, curio or cabinet. As for the antenna, don't worry, most die-cast don't include it ( one good aspect of models, a modeler can ... ) . As I said before, you have a very good buy there, be proud and take good care of it. -
can anyone tell me anything about this model?
de3freak replied to Corvette.Jeff's topic in WIP: NASCAR
... Greetings my friend ... : You made a very good buy there . That particular car was driven by Chad Little in 1997 in the Brick Yard 400. It was painted in those colors to honor John Deer's 160 anniversary. I remember being attracted to it by it's color, it was a bronze cooper hue, and believe me it was very eye catching as it came off the curves and more so when the sunlight hit it. Hold on to it . Here are some pictures of my model . -
... Greetings ... : MARKJ : Hello my friend, feel free to ask for any help. I take it , this will be sort of a first time for you. Don't ever tell yourself you can't, you would be amazed at what you can accomplish . I have been modeling since age 5, using clay since 8, I am 46 now, trust me, one never stops learning. Have fun !

... Greetings ... : Hello " MARKJ " , thank you for the comments, they are much respected ... thank you . My intention on doing this figure was not in my mind, of great interest, it was more as a project of " what could I do with the left over " ... . Allow me to explain . I sculpt figures, figures like ALIEN ( my favorite ) , PREDATORS, PUMPKINHEAD, STAR WARS CHARACTERS, BAT MAN as well EROTIC WOMEN and others. For such task I use SUPER SCULPEY , which must be taken to the oven as one sees a final work done so that the clay can harden . If what you want to do is a figure like such, and see it as a fast procedure ( other than a daily task ), may I recomend a clay called DAS-PLAS. It is self hardning and the details can be smothed out with a brush and water . I would like to suggest PLAY DOUGH , but as todays outcome, it does not stay harden . I do not have a step by step photo of such, to tell you the truth, this is the first time I am asked this. If you like you can contact me at my YAHOO MESSENGER " de3freak " or at my e-mail " de3freak@yahoo.com ", if so please use this forum as a refference so that I can relate to it. Please feel free to ask anything related to the subject.
-
... Greetings my friends ... : Thank you for the comment my friend . The figure was sculpted using SUPER SCULPEY 3, on the jacket, if you observe more detainly, you will notice that the collar as well as the tie straps are thinner, those were made with good ole paper towel, patience, good siccors and luck ... . They were soaked with a little of white glue and then when ready, they were coated with some ENAMEL EPOXY CERAMIC as used also for the inside window rails on the model , for they were hand made using COMPUTER PAPER CARD STOCK . I am in my time planning on doing a cast of the figure . If you are interested, contact me .
