thanks guys sometimes I want to leave this thing alone and start a new one I've got a Tamiya Morgan 4/4 from my friend and I want to start it and make it better than this Nomad beacuse now I'm full of experience  btw I'm very proud of myself, if I consider that this is my first car and yes, Trabant is a very great car I'll try to find some pictures about my one, it was a "custom" one

I've started to colorize the interior here's some pics the seats has just finished, covered by matt clear coat I don't like it, now I know, I always have to mask need flocking and some chrome here's a side panel need matt clear and chrome and here's a chrome painted part, I like it (need some detailing after drying)
-
thanks george! i've checked the right place for the plug wires, but unfortunatelly I've drilled all the holes in the wrong place and I didn't want to work with it again so it will be a custom , I'm done with it and I've painted the second color on the body there are some unnecessary beige on the blue, but I've removed the most of it until now a few days drying and I can paint it with the clear coat (after the chrome parts are ready...)

this engine makes me nervous I know, that nothing on it's place, but it's gonna good for me for the first time I usually see s4 engines here
-
thanks, but I know the original place of it the problem is, that my new one is a bit bigger than the original one so I'm gonna cheat
-
I wanted to use this as a wire in the engine bay, but it's too thick and the "original" distributor is very small for it so I made a new distributor, got some new wires, I hope, the engine will be ready this evening btw this is the first part, I was ever made but I have no idea where to place it...
-
of course! let's show it!
-
thanks this is gonna be the engine need some more to do

-
btw thanks for the ideas about the painting I know BMC, but I want everything right now now I know, I must be patient
-
finally the paint must go, so new primer, new paint it is now starts to looking like an engine not perfect, but for the first, I think it's good but how will I manage this
-
oh, I'm too lazy, so there's no way to strip it sandpaper will do this job I hope I've placed the can to hot water before I think, I wanted to cover all the primer with the first spray and that was the problem and I know: practice makes me perfect
-
ok here are the first problems I think, I made a mistake and the 3rd coat is not enough thin but I can mend it, I only have to wait a few hours
-
maybe, but I think, the chassis is not enough for it.. you can guess, why it's only 600 kgs and the hungarian laws could let you to make this kind of modifications unfortunatelly you couldn't do any modifications without any plans and licence and this kind of licence cost a lots of money, sometimes more than the car worth that's Hungary, man!

I'm from Hungary and Trabant is a German car. East-German. I was 19 when I bought this. It's a lovely car. Small, cheap, easy to repair, so ideal for a young boy. Unfortunatelly, you could barely use them nowdays because of enviromental rules.

actually my first real car was a Trabant 601s it was 10 years ago btw some new pics second coat of primer (now it's white) some color paint on other parts

Hi guys, I started with this kit as my first car. I've read a lot of technics and tricks from this and form other sites. Yesterday evening I made the cleanings, glued some parts and a few minutes ago I made the first coat of primer. Here's the pics: I have to make some wetsand a few hours later.
