  1. I have some engine shots somewhere if anyone is interested?
  2. Thought I'd better scan this to save further confusion ('scuse the quality)! This is the british racing green Aston Martin powered prototype T-70 that Tamiya modelled in 1/12, only they thought it was blue and stuck the Chevy lump in it! Note also the 'P' suffix stands for prototype.
  3. The least of the problems with that kit as it should also have the Aston Martin V8! If you are doing the prototype version, note too that the Surtess white arrow also had a red pinstrip around it, which is often hard to distinguish in contemporary pictures. I'd wager it was probably done with 1/2" red electrical tape back in the day. Oh, and the wheels are slightly incorrect too. The edges of the spokes do not extend out to the rim far enough.
  4. Robert Hayes is your man. Try over on LSM: http://www.largescalemodeler.com/welcome.html
  5. I'm a big Bondo fan. Here's a 1/8th buck I made out iif it:
  6. Really great looking car. This will be my first missed Le Mans in 12 years. Still, I'll be driving down there in the Spyder for the Le Mans Classic in July. Ohhh yeah!
  7. Sam, yep, I'm a limey. Can't think of the American equivalent for 'scuttle'! It's the front firewall/bulkhead but usually termed this when the car is a roadster eg. the firewall and screen surround is one unit. 'Scuttle shake' is a term used for a condition when a bad handling, flexible chassis allows the firewall and screen to twist and vibrate in relationship to the rest of the car. Do you have a similar name for this? Ahah...just found this: http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_...ticle731967.ece
  8. Pah...Sunbeam/Humber/Hillman. It's all 60s UK badge engineering! (bad loser mode)!
  9. I'm guessing it's a Humber of some kind. It has Humber Sceptre lights, grill and screen.
  10. Aye, and you're right about the Triumph Herald doors! The Equipe was based on Herald or Spitfire running gear, Herald doors, glass and scuttle. They also produced a straight 6 Vitesse version. My brother had one back in '76. He toured the whole of Europe in it (the fool)!
  11. Wow...what a beautiful car. Love it, love it, love it. The stance, the wheels, the paint - perfect! OK, so a few from me: Two toys, but ones a daily driver. Number one is a Porsche Spyder replica built by me over about 6 years. I've run a 13.4 quarter with stock 165 tires and a mild 1776 Type1 VW engine. The Elise is pretty stock, but runs Series 2 suspension, uprated discs and pads, with a few engine mods. The best ET so far? 13.4 (again)! Toy three: Kawasaki Drifter. Bought it dirt cheap for a laugh on eBay - it had never seen rain and is still immaculate. Expected to keep it for a short while and chop it for somethiing else, but fell in love with it and will never let it go.
