  1. Greetings, my fellow Holloweeners! Old Cranky here to wish you all great weather on this first Thursday in October. Well, let's see where we are today with the RATOUTOFHELL build . . . .ah yes, a little more progress . . . Since I decided this particular spunky rat was not going to be just merely earth bound, I scratch-built the chassis rails with enough room to fit a different type of mill which is known in these parts as an Allison Engine, but which I call the defribulator!!! Thank heavens for that ultra expensive parts pack rerelease from AMT just in time to allow for this one to soar . . . Of course it takes longer to dechrome all the beautiful parts than it takes to assemble. It really is a great mill, this Allison! Anyhoo, stay tuned in for more progress . . . . a little progress a day keeps the psychologists away (Shoo, Psychologists! Shoo!!)!!!
  2. Yes, casket technology has come a long ways . . . now you can get speakers and a solar battery to run the music next to your ears in eternity. Ha!!! Stay tuned in for today's progress report!
  3. Thanks, I hope to have a little bit more progress done by tomorrow . . . stay tuned in!
  4. Yo, LSU fan!!! That's my alma mater, buddy. Congrats on the kool builds. Keep 'em coming!!!
  5. Speaking of Holloween, this is as much as I've gotten done on this sucker today . . . tomorrow ill be another day . . . but don't be fooled by it's Egyptian mummy flair so far . . . this thing is bound to look meaner . . . ahem, ahem! I decided to work on that Mohawk idea . . . and also block the interior so the red light will pour out of it better . . . A Mohawk made of bones, of course . . . what else? The only warning I can give you guys right now is don't let this one's miniscule size fool you!!! A spiney Mohawk made out of toothpicks . . . sure . . . Tune in for more progress tomorrow . . . as . . . RATOUTOFHELL comes ALIVE!!!
  6. Nah, this thing won't fit into any trunk. It's too big!!! Besides it would have eaten you before you get it in there!
  7. I like the way that is turning out. Keep it going. Thanks for sharing your work.
  8. Then in true Holloween fashion I thought of Frankestein, and then I though of eletricity. Yes, yes!!! It must come alive with electricity . . . this one must have ELECTRICITY!!! Electricity and oh it must have a base . . . a platform of some sort . . . hum . . . HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...................................................... ........
  9. RATOUTOFHELL This project begins with one of my all-time favorite kits . . . this one: It was the first kit that popped into my head as I dreamt up the possibilities of doing something completely different . . . a truly nastier kind of rat. So that kit entered my imagination and then I thought of my little photo op friends I always use for some photo fun on the bench . . .. And so I started thinking coupe with mohawk? A 32 coupe rat with a mohawk? And so it begins there . . .
  10. Well, well, well . . . maties, here we are: Oct. 1st. In just 30 more days it will be Holloween, so get your eye candy sweet tooth ready. Here we got. I hear you all chanting: RATOUTOFHELL RATOUTOFHELL RATOUTOFHELL!!!!
  11. I don't know if you are going to appreciate getting eaten alive!!!! This beast is unlike any you've seen before . . . But in just a few short hours, let the fun begin!!! Oh, and you have to build yours in your best custome . . . here's mine!!! Enjoy . . .
  12. You said it twice, my friend!!!
  13. You might be dead. You might be telling tales. But you have not seen the pretty beast coming over the hills. Not yet anyway . . . Focus, concentrate . . . ANTICIPATE.
  14. Tell ya? There's nothing to tell. Dead men tell no tales . . . No tales indeed coming out of the mouths of those who've been unfortunate enough to have seen the beast . . . RATOUTOFHELL . . . I know that sound like rattatoui or some such thing.
  15. Darn it, now I have that Carly Simon song in my head. "Anticipation . . .. " Blah, blah, blah . . .
  16. Here's a hint: MEATLOAF's best-selling album and Ozzy Osborne's penchant for bat heads--so yes, ketchup might be in order!!!! Tomorrow, all those of you already anticip--- PATING, look for this thread: RATOUTOFHELL!!! But I am getting ahead of myself. Tune in Oct. 1st for some Holloween action!
  17. Anticipation!!! Anticipation!!! Anticipation!!! Let it build. Tomorrow begins the journey. Also, if you can handle a little anticipation, may I suggest you get your 2008 Holloween build started!!!
  18. Folks, starting tomorrow, I hope to thrill, chill, and spill-the-beans on my Holloween build for this year. I hope you will get excited about buildilng your own. So stay tuned in for the step-by-step unveiling of . . . OF . . . OF . . . Can you feel the ANTICIP ................................................................................ . PATION???
  19. Thank you . . . yeah, I had fun with this one . . . like I said earlier . . . this is one of those kits you better buy a few extras of because, trust me, you are bound to build more than one!!!
  20. Wow, look who came over for a visit and to check out Cranky's ride . . . Watch that hand, Cranky!!!!
  21. WOW!!!!!!!!! Some great paintjobs and models. Congrats!!!
  22. I still have to add little color accents here and there, like the battery, etc . . .
  23. Here are some more progress pics . . . in order to fool the viewer into thinking that under that cruddy hood is a clunker, I decided to spruce up the engine and make it pretty clean . . .
  24. Here's the interior . . . this is really where the airbrush pays for itself many times over . . .
  25. I really like it. Fabulous job . . . the white walls are the perfect touch. Congrats!
