  1. Fitting the top took a little work, those things fit lousy! But you just gotta fuss with it and fuss with it until you get it close. Close is the best it's gonna get. There's nothing worth looking at as far as the chassis. Just straight out of the box, painted flat black. I rarely spend any time on the bottom of a model any more. They never get turned over, nothing is ever seen, so why bother. I also have to plead lazy on the engine. It's straight out of the kit except for the carbs which came from my parts box. I was going to add plug wires and stuff, honest, I really was, but just got lazy and threw it together.
  2. This is one of those models that got started two or three years ago and then, for whatever reason, got put away and not finished. Until now that is. When I reopened the box I realized that it only needed to have the interior painted and it would be done. Basically this is a simple, straight out of the box deal. Colors are Testors Model Master Guards Red and Ivory.
  3. Just finished one of the new Revell '32 coupes. The theme is the owner just got a new hood and had the deck lid louvered and will drive it like this until the budget recovers enough to get matching paint. This a curbside with no engine and minimal interior detail. The top is chopped three inches and the rear fenders were bobbed approximately 6 inches. The paint is Testors British Green Metallic and Metalizer Aluminum on the hood and trunk lid. Wheels and tires are out of the box.
  4. This is true. It was a number of years ago. The basic engine came from a Monogram NASCAR Ford kit. here's a photo of the model.
  5. Wear good walking shoes, bring a camera with fully charged batteries and spares, and plenty of memory. Bring plenty of cash, food and drink at the show is expensive. What Jantrix said about kids touching the cars goes for adults too. Never touch somebody else's car for any reason. Not even lightly. If you normally wear a big bunch of keys or a cell phone outside on your belt, put 'em away. Makes car owners nervous when you're walking in between the cars with stuff on your belt! Take your time, plan to spend the whole day and don't forget to have fun!
  6. Since you're already planning on doing more work on this model, let me suggest that you consider re-wiring the engine. Twin plug Hemis used one distributor to fire the front plugs on all eight cylinders, while the other one fired the rear plugs. The way yours is, with one distributor for each bank, it would not run. It's not as hard as it seems, just wire them separately as if you were doing two engines. Just trying to help. Drew
