I had to hand paint the stripes.Not perfect but i will touch them up until i get them as good as i can.

Painted one of the stripes.Due to the rather elaborate masking,I have to wait until the paint dries overnight to paint the other one.

Awesome project! i made the 1/72 Hasegawa "karl" Siege mortar and it is a nice kit also!

Primered and painted it silver prior to painting it white.

All of the ducts have to be shrouded and the wheel vents have to have arched grilles.Much work ahead but it is looking like a race car.Much bigger than 1/25th!More like 1/16th!

After some thought,I cut a piece of 2 by 4 to the correct shape,clamped the plastic to it,and used my wife's hairdryer to heat the plastic to conform.

Yes it does seem oversize.I will press on as a proof of concept exercise and may build another in the future once I successfully complete it(I hope)!
