  1. I have been searching all over the net. I need to find a diagram for the 73-87 chevy crew cab long wheel base frame. I need the dimensions to make a frame. Thanks in advance.
  2. Have a great on all you dads out there!!! be safe and if you are drinking do not drink and drive.
  3. The easiest and best way to go IMO
  4. I think you should do the same as the cab. shave the body line or make your own. Make the rear lights caddy lights for sure. Not sure about making it a full skin combo, everyone is doing that now. You can pick up wheels all over the place. here, layitlow.com, evil bay, ect. What I would recommend is 22 or 24 inch scale rims.
  5. I am excited to see what you do with this bed.
  6. My favorite And nice picture on the last page of the trailer
  7. Well it's coming along real good. I would do something with the cab still. It looks like it should be laying the doors on the ground, but the bumper and bed tell a different story. BUT great job so far with scribing your door lines. Still have this build bookmarked!!
  8. So this is the only way for me to get some tires. The flex stuff? Anyone use anything else??
  9. Well I will post pics when I finally get them done.
  10. Now was your tires hollow in the center of the tire? I.E. like a real 1:1 tire? And I am not talking about where the rimes goes.
  11. Awesome job so far. Got anything in mind for the bed?
  12. Well I am actually making a 1/24 r/c rockcrawler. I actually need some really soft and flexy rubber tires in 1/24 scale, but they are not made yet. For my application, I would need black dye. Painting them would not work since they are actually going to be used on rocks.
  13. For a Bogger, you want to get a truck that's 4x4. Build a roll cage out of round stock. A racing seat. The madd mudder engine would be good since it has the zommy headers already. You want to make the truck have a low center of gravity, but big tires. The best tire would be the 44 ground hawg, since it will come with the kit, but if you want realistic, then get the so real 44 boggers. This should be an easy build, but it's going to take things from multiple kits and some scratch building. If you want a certain truck, then just check ebay or local hobby store. If you need reference pictures, then look up mud bogging racing pictures on the internet.
  14. Very daring color choices there. Don't let no one talk you out of the color once you decide on it. My 1:1 is a 3 color custom grey with metal flake, and a grey top. Everyone said no it's not a good color choice but when it was done it was nice.
  15. Great job with this Nick. It was a great idea and you pulled it off very nicely.
  16. I will be watching this build up.
  17. great job so far.
  18. Is there any kind of resin compound out there can make soft tires? I am thinking about taking the so real tires and making a mold. But I do not know of any kind of compound to make "rubber". I would like them to be hollow and flexy, just like a 1:1 tire. Any thoughts?
  19. that's sweet. I seen one on evil bay the other day. What I would not give for a mid 80's Delta 88.
  20. looks real to me, but not cause of the above post
  21. Looks great so far!!
  22. Looks good, but I am not sure about the bumpers. They seem like they stick out too much. To put it to scale, you could walk on the top of these things. haha
  23. Now IMO the bigger tires make all the difference. I am loving this build. Does the suspension travel a lot?
  24. That is a great truck, but they want too much money for it. What I would do is try and just make it yourself, or check eBay. I seen one on ebay a couple weeks or months ago and it only went for around $50.
