That's looking really good Bob! I remember building this kit after getting back into the hobby as an adult about 30 years ago or so. 😉

Will be watching this one. 😉

Very nice MaK brother. Not much appreciation for it around here. But I do.
I have the Kuster kit and a few others. I built a snowman and a Luna Gans. If I find pics Ill put em here.
Thanks Bob. I have rather eclectic build tastes...😉 Would love to see yours.

Love this look. I'm gonna have to steal your wheel choice for my Beetle makeover.
Thanks Steve! I got these a few years ago, pre-COVID, I just checked the Scale Productions website recently and they are no longer listed...😢
Maybe there are some resin, or 3d printed versions out there?

This is gonna be cool looking ! That engine details nicely , did you do any sanding on the printed part before painting ?
Hi Bob, Thanks! No I did not. Although it could have benefited from some primer at least on the exhaust muffler and the fan shroud. But since most of it will be hidden by the wires, and the body when assembled, I figured it was "good enough". 😉

I am not sure what looks rough on my parts but perhaps some insight as to what you're talking about. As far as layer lines, they are there but very minimal, and for support scars I have some of the smallest supports if not the smallest. This is inherently the way things are with resin 3D printing and every print will have them, the difference between makers is how small they are and where you place them. I run very small supports and always put them in the most inconspicuous place possible.
Hi Charles, no criticism of your parts, or quality thereof was intended. The layer lines are very minimal, but since I was painting with lacquer based paints I wanted to make sure there wasn't any "ghosting" after paint application. Not only are the support scars small, and not in conspicuous places, you are even nice enough to remove all of the parts from the "trees" 🙂 not everyone does that.
Your parts are by far of the best quality I have seen in my recent venturing into the 3d printed realm. 😉
Cheers
