I live in Cortland, NY. I do not know of any model car club here. No model painters either, I have looked & asked. I build drag slot car bodies.

Quick question for you slot car guys
Drag Slot Builder replied to Fuel Coupe's topic in Model Car Racing
Go to PCH, they have a large inventory of drag wheels, many different brands. PCH also has the least expensive shipping charges of anyone. PCH Parts Express 828 Wagon Wheel Rd. Oxnard, CA-93036 Ph: (805) 988-8044 (800) 258-7441 Fax:(805) 988-8059 http://www.e-slotcar.com/catalog/108 -
Well, the original post was not specific at all. If someone wants a specific answer, the post should also be AS specific. There was no referance to Tony Nancy in the gentlemans post. So as far as being hilarious...NOT SO MUCH.

1999 "Cobra" Jet Mustang Sportsman
Drag Slot Builder replied to Reeves Racing's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Do you have spare head lights or tail lights for this '99 mustang? -
I go to my local 1/8 mile strip all the time and I have never seen Jr Dragsters with parachutes...so I wouldn't worry about it.

DAYTONA PRO MOD UPDATE...
Drag Slot Builder replied to Drag Slot Builder's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
The rear tires are 1/8 Parma tires, I hate 'em, I just put them there for the pic. The chassis has 3/32 ballbearings, I will be using a 3/32 hollow axle & some way better rubber, for sure taller & a kool lookin' wheel. So I agree about the tires. Thanx about your comment..."WHAT A BEAST". The motor is from a diecast funny car I bought on eBay a few days ago. Except for that, the body has been interesting, it is resin & a lot of work went into what it looks like now. The chassis is an older DRS model. I'll keep ya posted, check back for more pics. Thanx again, Tom -
Thank you...Here's an update on the Daytona...check pics. http://i848.photobucket.com/albums/ab44/Dr...pg?t=1252895380 http://i848.photobucket.com/albums/ab44/Dr...pg?t=1252895418 http://i848.photobucket.com/albums/ab44/Dr...pg?t=1252895463 http://i848.photobucket.com/albums/ab44/Dr...pg?t=1252895497

Hi Wayne...I like your bodies. I had a friend Brian make me the decals, front grille & headlights...one off, nice work. He used chrome foil paper to make the decals so the grille & headlights will be nice and shiney, along with the contingency decals...should look very cool. Another friend Josh McCall is painting the car like Rocca's Ironhorse...flames in the front, flat black. http://i848.photobucket.com/albums/ab44/Dr...ng?t=1252895002

'DRAG' SLOT CAR BUILDING
Drag Slot Builder replied to Drag Slot Builder's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Thanx for all the info. Have you ever painted bodies for other people? If so, what would be a ballpark figure you would charge? I know that there are many variables, plain, mild, wild paint jobs. I am building this '49 Pro Mod Merc...it has a fat body & I would like a paint job like this pic... -
1/32 scale racing is for old ladies...1/24 scale is the way to go.

I build drag slot cars with resin & styrene bodies...& yes I am looking for someone who paints bodies, but they have to be REALLY good.
