  1. Thanks for the comliments! Got some updates of the Vette's interior. All of the pieces layed out I used some Tamiya flat aluminum and semi gloss black to add some contrast to the dash. This time I used semi-gloss black and metallic grey to add some pop to the door panels. The interior bucket all put together.
  2. Actually Weasel, that is a Duplicolor Midnight Blue that I was going to paint the car but the interior is going to be black so I didn't want the car to be to dark!
  3. A few projects that I am working on to start the New Year off right! I built this car a few years ago! Pearl White Lexus with adjustable suspension! One of my current projects is the 2006 Corvette Z06. This is the Jada kit. I am painting it Tamiya Mica Blue Pearl. This build is out of box with the only modification being the removal of the top. The hood is darker is the last picture because I was going to paint the car Duplicolor Midnight Metallic Blue, but the interior is going to be black and I didn't want the car to be too dark. Last is the 1949 Mercury. This build is going to be a basic out of box build. I am going to paint it HOK candy burgundy, with a white and burgundy interior.
  4. Hot Rod, in my personal opinion, I believe the AMT Mercury is the better choice when replicating some of the famous customs of yesteryear. I say this because the AMT gives you a stock height Mercury which allows you to chop the top as much as you desire. Also, I have seen it stated on this forum that the AMT Mercury is more accurate than the Revell version.
  5. Well, everyone in the modeling community has been eagerly waiting on the edge of their seats for updates on the brilliant and highly informative tutorial that Mr. Obsessive is doing. This is an excellent reference piece that I found that I am sure will come in handy. The link is from the Late C.J.Hilton's website. It is a step by step instructional on chopping the top on a 49 Mercury, but it would be applicable to any car with a similar body style. http://www.cjhilton.com/models/chop.htm Enjoy! and I hope you find this useful!
