  1. Keep in mind this is a budget build, and I want to avoid P/E parts, so I will try and do as much detail as my painting allows... for now I figured it was cheaper to grab a distributor kit rather than bludgeoning around for some needle and thread, hot candle, etc.. like I used to do... my how things have changed!! I opened up the valve covers with a 1/16in drill bit... The 'parts by park' distributor kit has slide on boots that make the hemi plug boots stand out quite a bit A bit of paint touch up and it should be good to go.. I may end up doing some plumbing later and adding a carb linkage, but with the air cleaner hiding most of it it seems kind of a waste... I'll have to think about it...
  2. I wanted to make this a Coronet 500 since I used to have one, but nonetheless it is my return to modeling after 20 yrs... plans call for NHRA ST class in the eliminator category which means it should run high 11's with nothing more than some inconspicuous mods and 9in slicks.... im still waiting on the headers but in the meantime I picked up a distributor kit, and painted the body Tamiya red (#26 i believe) I wish I could get my camera to capture the correct color, but it has a very complicated menu...lol.
