Hi Roger, Nice looking Rebel! Through the late 60's / early 70's AMC cars were built in Australia too, via AMI ( now Toyota). We had the Rambler, and the Javelin. I was just a kid at the time, but knew enough to know that they weren't GM or Ford, they were something different!. By the time I was old enough to buy one, they weren't around anymore, 'cause the rust had gotten to them! I like your builds, and you've done another great job on this one! It looks like John, Dave and Ken have nothing to do but just look at the car! How do you improve on perfection? James.

Roger, I really like this! The body is excellent I agree with what the others were saying about the engine bay details, and the lack of oil stains on the floor from both the engine and transmission! I'd like to suggest letting some air out of the tires, just to make it a real pig to push around the shop while the engine is pulled apart. The last shot with John pointing to the engine makes me think he's telling Dave he wants the engine running by the time he knocks off work this afternoon. I see Ken has already shot through! You've done an excellent job, I wish it was mine. Don't let this be your last rusted model, the board always needs more models like yours. JAmes.

Can someone please tell me what the year/model is that white with red stripes Pontiac in the largest pic? I've never seen that car before yet it looks so familiar because of the lines in the body. Would I like to see one available as a kit? YEAH!!! There's something about that car that makes it look like an overgrown Holden! I love it!!

WOW!! Your Monte Carlo looks razor sharp! The colour combination is perfect. Mt parents once owned a 1972 HQ Holden Premier in that colour combo and that car was the pride of the fleet for years and years The metallic purple was called 'chateau mauve', I wonder what the purple is called on your Monte? Why get hot under the collar because the issue sate is a month late? So what?,get over it. It's a subscription, not a contract! lets just be thankfull the magazine is out there at all. The May/June issue is the first of a year's subscription for me, and immediatley I found it to be a better read than SA. Both magazines covered the NNL East for instance, and MCM gave it at least 4 pages and better photography - even if one photo was repeated on the same page. Oh well. The kit reviews are better too, I feel, as the writer covers all aspects of the kits options available, and what to look out for in a way that comes across as if he's not the super detailer builder, but just a schmuck, like me. No tedious 'letters to the editor' column either, yay!! And lots of new products that SA doesn't cover. And a trucking section that I'm yet to read. AND, most importantly, a 'feel good' factor! It's just a shame that Ken Hamilton doesn't write for MCM, I like his columns in SA. My SA subscription runs out next April, and that'll be it. No more. For a 12 month international subscription, I think both magazines are pretty much the same dollar wise, but I feel I'm getting better value with MCM. More issues for a start anyway! I'm not trying to french kiss the backside of any particular editor who may read this,(ewww - yuck!) I'm just telling it as I see it. James.

It seems that it's no trouble to find aftermarket wheels/tyres.... Can anyone tell me if there's a resin caster who makes a plain jane 14 or 15" wheel and tyre for any car that rolled off the line during the 60's or 70's? In 1/24,25?? The kind of wheel that a dog dish hubcap would fit to... Any ides?? James

I don't think there will be too many tears when the last PT rolls off the line The running gear and platform came from the ridiculous Neon buzzbox to the best of my knowledge. The best thing going for it was its body, minus the head and tail lights. They could've done with at least some chrome housing. I never saw one built this way but I always thought one built with a '40 ford grille made to fit would look a little better...with '37 Ford headlights? Goodbye Pt Cruiser. James.

But wait, there's more!! I dont know who the guy is, but search for ' pbrock005 ' on youtube, and click on the video with the pink Torana. This guy is awesome, the models are mostly kits, but have a look at the diorama, it just keeps on getting better and better. You finish up with a smile on your face looking at the work he's done! Some of the stuff is resin, but I've never seen it before. My jaw drops on the table when I watch the video. Sorry, I haven't posted the link here. Even a certain Mr Ed Shaver would be impressed!

Johnny, From what I've seen of your builds, the '76 will be an awesome car to look at on here!. I'm looking forward to seeing it. I smiled at the 'Love To Drive" moniker you gave it too, I've never heard that before. I wish there was a resin caster who was brave enough to cast the Holden in my avsatar. I'd be as happy as a pig in mud with a few of them, but no one will do it. Not even in die cast James.

Hi Barbo, WOW! 24 hrs? bloody hell!! Your model is a nice idea, but with three wheels, wouldn't it be a hard thing to change direction in? I was looking at the pics of the chair/rod and wondered...how?? 2 arms, 3 wheels....? James

Haha Christian, I'd love to send you a 'WB Caprice' to Southampton! If only there were enough of them around these days. They're pretty thin on the ground now, the 'C' pillars rust out on them and the rot sets in. The one in my avatar is from eBay that I saved to my pc because it looked just like one I owned not too many years ago. It was a great car to get around in. Just like sitting in your favourite arm chair and steering with your thumb, nothing to it I miss the old girl now, but at the same time, glad I don't own it anymore! Phew James.

Holden grey amd red motors, Need an X2 179?, they sell em! They are also getting ready some Ford resin kits for sale too. They are really good people to deal with.
