I agree with all you've said. This model is well... **** I am a Big Charger fan and buy every one I come across but this one the re-issue or slightly changed re-issue of the MPC General Lee is just as bad.
I've found that the best way too fix these is get pretty much all your parts from the Revelle '68 or '69 and go from there. I wish Revelle would bring out a '70 with all the correct options.. i.e. door scopes, grill, ect.
And another complaint! Why can't they put in the correct marker lights for the '68 instead of decals? The finaly removed the molding for the '69. Is it that much of a stretch to put the round ones in?
As too the interior mold marks? I just cut out the whole section and dig through the parts box to find a suitable replacement to graft in.

13? I remember those days... what you see aint always what others see. Budget? What budget? I know after building for thirty years I sometimes amaze myself that something I built looks that good!
For starting out, its GREAT!
I'm guessing that you don't have 20, 30, 0r 40 years worth of old builds and spare parts to draw from , the way some of us do. My nine year old son is begining to get into the hobby and I've started him on snaptite...he has already built a cardboard garage.
The only reason that alot of the Dio's and models here are as good as they are is EXPERIENCE! and some of the new of the rack stuff ...
I read somewhere on this site.. not sure who or where.. but a telling statement.. "It's not what you buy, it's what you build."
Keep Building

Ridiculess amount of work there.. I think it would have been faster and easier to just buy an '06 a 71 and a torch!

Well if the women don't find ya handsome, they should at least find ya handy!
Great build.

VERY sharp! Did you buy the bricks or were they pre-made?

Cool idea. Nice work, clean not over done to the point that there is too much to look at.

I like too see the old ones saved! What do you use to strip the bodies so well? I've got boxes of old builds that my father gave me as well as many from my distant youth that could benefit from it.
