  1. Evening, I just bought a photo etched 68 Camaro set I have never used one before I would like to paint the Z/28 emblems & also bought a resin grill so she will have the RS package with the hidden headlights & since the 67-68 did not have the Z/28 on the grill but had the RS emblems I would like to paint them. I guess what I would like to know is how I go about painting them? (I don't even know what photo etched is!) & also any tips on putting them on? or how I prep them really anything anyone can tell me would be great I really need the help. I have been away from building for a while and am amazed at what is out there so any help would be great! Thank you! Will,
  2. Good morning, I'm putting a Resin scoop on a plastic hood & was reading on a web site that you should use automotive primer on resin instead of model primer (I use Tamiya primer paints & clear) but is this true that I should use automotive primmer on resin instead? Thank you!
  3. Morning, I'm building a 68 Camaro Z/28 & was checking out Scale dreams .com I came across a 68 Camaro detail set which comes with a grill the emblems & diffrent things. Since I have been away from building for a while I was blown away by this I guess they call it photo etched. What I did not see were the parking lights that go into the grill & headlights. I do think the grill would really make the model come alive but my question is has anybody used these before? & if so & they do not come with parking lights & head lights what does one do?. Do these detail sets really look good & do they fit I guess what I would like to know is can anyone give me there opinion on them see I'm not really sure how they work! Thank you for any help! Will,
  4. Good Afternoon, I'm working on a 68 Chevy Camaro (plastic) & bought a Grump Hump(Resin) from reliable resin for her. I know & am sorry for this being a stupid question!. I have the scoop soaking in Westley's tire white since yesterday now this is just the scoop. I have been told buy a guy who builds in resin that resin pieces have to soak for 2-3 days but he said the bodies is this true for small pieces also? Thank you! Will,
  5. Good Afternoon Rodney, Thank you first for the welcome back (I have to say it sure has changed both in products & money) second for your help. I'll have to try that model I have seen them on ebay I was also thinking maybe email speed city resin I really would love to build this but don't want to sink a lot of money in her if she doesn't come out I just don't know resin. It's funny cause I remember the models I use to build as a kid (if that is what you want to call them glue all over) anyway WOW I see them on ebay now going for like $300. & up I wish I had kept them in the box. Thank you again, Will,
  6. Good Evening, I hope I'm doing this right as this is my first post. I just got back into modeling about three years ago & was shocked at how far this hobby has come. Having said this I love Chevrolet's & is all I have ever built since a kid. I always wanted to build Alan Green's 63 Fastback Chevy II ever since I read about it in my 64 Car Craft Mag. Then I found out about resin & found that Speed City resin had it well I bought it & there she sits for the last two years I have no clue on the donner kit I need or even how to go about building resin models!. So before I sell it on ebay I guess my question is how does one go about building these resin kits?. As far as the donner kit & all that. Any help would be great! Thank You! Will,
