  4. Thanks fellas for the kind words... well yesterday I got a lot of work done on this one... I've got the engine assembled, I added a dist. and wires from detail master and ued the kit coil,, I added heater hoses, and made an oil dipstick..I added brake lines to the master cyliner and battery cables to the battery.... I painted the engine bay and interior semi-gloss black, but it looks a little to shiny to me,,, So I'll mist on a little dull coat to tone it down a little here's a few pics... thanks for looking and comments welcome....
  5. great looking project.... I'll be folowing this one... love the old Vettes....
  6. Very impressive Brad... I'm locked in.....
  7. WHOA....... I just came across this thread... Brad this Jeep is AWESOME... great job on everything so far...
  8. Whats up fellas... I got a little done on this one tonight... I went ahead and mocked up the radiator and the support to make sure everything fits before any painting is done... I also sanded those raised areas off on the front inner fenders... and I put the engine together to check fit.... everything fits well... I like the detail this adds over the amt chassis... thanks for looking and comments welcome.. thinking about using this grille... It's from a die cast car...
  9. Good stuff Nick......
  10. Builds turned out just plain AWESOME.... I hope to be as good with alclad as you one day..... tremendous detailing....
  11. Fred the interior tub is from the 68 Camaro kit... No issues at all with the 69 chassis fitting.... If you look closely at the pic.. I trimmed the back area behind the fuel tank a little other than that it was no problem....
  12. Thanks alot fellas... I appreciate the kind words.. I got a coat of primer on the body.. and I went ahead and sanded the tires, and fitted the firewall from the r/m 69 camaro I'll fill in the gaps at the top with styrene...here's a few pics...
  13. yes this is the AMT kit... The r/m chassis fits real good... I like using them because the detail on them is so much better than the AMT kit.... I'll post some pics later on today of the firewall.....
  14. Thanks George... I went with the cowl off of the Nova kit because it is a little taller, and I like the way it came back a little farther towards the cowl...
  15. Dan this is the thread for the dually... it started out as one of the snap together pro street dually kits from AMT.... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71952&page=1
  16. Thanks Monty.... the wheels and tires are from the stars and stripes Corvette... I love these torque thrust wheels, the rear ones are wider than the fronts in kit... I picked up a few of these kits for the wheels and tires.... .
  17. Whats up fellas.... this build is something I've started to take a little of the edge off with a pro mod build I have going on right now... The body is from an older build that I decided to redo a long time ago, I'm just getting around to doing it... I soaked the body in purple power to strip the paint, I've got the body cleaned up pretty good... I will be using the chassis, engine and drivetrain from the r/m 69 camaro... This will be a big block car, and I've got the bumble bee stripe for the nose.. I'm thinking about adding a vinyl top to this one too... here's a few pics... I used the cowl hood from the r/m nova kit,, it seems to be a little taller than the 69 camaro hood....
  18. Looks great..... I like the chassis work.... I also like how you added the lip inside the fenders.....
  19. I Love it Mike.... to be honest... the first pic knocked me off my feet... I was just holding on after that...lol.... Seriuosly... looks nice, I dig the side mirrors too,,, Cant wait to see whats next...

  21. Yes Sir Buddy..... This is looking good.... I'm locked in.....
  22. Thanks fellas for the kind words... I really appreciate it.... If I have inspired someone in any way to build these type of builds.... or to be inspired by what I do means a whole lot.... I love these pro mod... door slammer type builds... I think there is alot of great talented builders on here that I have learned from by watching their techniques also.... A small update... I got the harness done and installed the seat in the car.. I made a drive shaft tunnel from aluminum soda can.. I got the steering wheel and cord installed, and I added bracing to the wheelie bars... more to come... hopefully I'll get some paint on here this weekend...
  23. I love it Brad.... you nailed it in all areas dude....
  24. Thanks Mike.... Alright fellas.. I got the front grille fininshed up tonight I painted the trim around the headlights black and then I cut out four rectangular pieces of clear sheet styrene to make some headlight lenses, the signal lenses were painted w/tamiya clear orange... I wish I had a GMC emblem for the front grille... I may try to make one... I also got the glasses in and the rear tailigts and third brake light I still need to make the ones for the rear doors.. I also added the 3500 decals to the doors... thanks for looking and comments welcome...
  25. Great job... this nova looks awesome... love the stance...
