  1. thanks alot fellas for the kind words I appreciate it... well I got the batteries and the battery cables done, I was going to put the fuel cell in the trunk, but the floor was not deep enough, so I made soome extra bracing out front and will mount it there..I also got the steering wheel mounted... I like the wood grant steering wheels... it's what I have in my 1:1 Camaro... I've also started working on plumbing the engine .. thanks for looking and comments welcome...

  14. Thanks alot Mike I really appreciate it... the 55 chevy engine has different heads and valve covers... a big chief style head.. thats whats most common on these engines...Thank you and I'm glad you like my work....
  15. Thanks Wayne, and Richard... glad yall like it... Michael, thanks... I have quite a few 55 chevy bodys laying around, I think I only have a couple of 57 chevy bodys.. most of the chassis I use are the 55 chevy.. If you need a few just pm me your address... The vinyl top is made out of 3M masking tape..I use 3M because it's real good about not wanting to lift up on you... I lay down the sides first and take my time to make sure there are no wrinkles... then I measure off from drip moldings towards the center of the roof, making sure it's the same on both sides trim that down with a hobby knife... then I lay down the center piece so that it covers part of the side pieces.... this give the look of the seams you're talking about... the body was masked off and then the top was painted with semi gloss paint... the masking tape gives it that nice textured look... On the decklid and the doors I use the back side of a hobby knife blade to cut them open... the piece on the trunk will be very thin and probably break off like mine did.. I just trimmed down a piece of styrene and glued it to the underside and it gave it some added strentgh and a lip to support the deck lid....
  16. Super build in every way John.... I know your dad is proud of this...
  17. Alright fellas.... I've been working on this one today... I've got the front grille and bumper painted, I got the rear bumper painted, I've added dzus fasteners to hood, fenders, and deck lid...I made some rings around header cut outs from a soda can, and added fender emblems, and chassis builder decals next I'll start detailing the engine and chassis,,,thanks for looking....
  18. Jerry I can usually get one of these done in about 3/4 months... It takes a little longer in the Spring and Summer months, because I work in my garage and it gets pretty hot down here... I appreciate everyones feedback.... should have some updates later on tonight....
