i am 63 yrs.old, 100% disabled vietnam vet with a few hobbies( 1/25 scale trucks) preferably. I like shareing ideas on the construction of these models. I hope to get a good enough one to be in a magazine or on this web. later, matt.

stray cat here, where can i get reefer units for 1/25 box trailers? I have the trailers and i would like to put reefer units on them as they go together, for that 1960-70 look.i believe that two different kinds were made a thermo king and a transicold(used on later models) any help would be appreciated. thanks, straycat.

straycat, here. favorite road truck? lets see 1962 "emeryville"- 220 cummins (with a turbocharger) 262h.p.- 5spd. with a 3way- 3.70 gears in the rear- airbag third axle aluminum frame.this tractor weighed 11500lbs. 40 ft. g/d stainless steel reefer (nosemount unit). Florida to new york or florida to boston every week of the year, for about 10 yrs. 362 pete- 350 cummins- 13 over- 4.11 gears fullscrew.45' trailmobile- Same run about about 12yrs. 1994 freightliner conventional-425h.p. cat.10spd overdrive-3.55 gears 270 in. wheelbase airride,p/s p/w a/c.60in. walkin. Same run until 2001. sugar diabeties put me off the road Favorite one the "emeryville"(hands down)!! later, straycat.

straycat here, on most western trucks-more power- more gears in the trans.- longer frames- and most had sleepers or dromadery boxes on them. I grew up in the 50's started driving in the 60's, spent 43 years over the road loved every minute of it. later matt.
