  1. More Updates!!! Replaced the plastic exhaust pipe ends with aluminum tubing, all cut on an angle. Lowered the Van a little more...Changed the license plate. Most of the interior parts are from the F-50 Ferrari. I also added a white felt headliner to lighten up the black interior. The theme at NNL West is 12 cylinder powered cars and Discontinued cars. Shaker Van has both covered! See you at the Show!!!
  2. SHAKER VAN!!! I built this van back in 2003, but it didn't look finished, something was missing... The chassis never fit quite right, it needed some decals and a liitle updating.... Here is the New SHAKER VAN! Shaker Engineering and Real Flame decals were added... I also cut a third horizontal vent in the rear... Power comes from a Ferrari F-50 V-12 Engine! More Photos Coming...
  3. READY for NNL WEST!!! Sanded down the body pretty smooth with 220 grit and applied Gray Primer. CORDVETTE is ready for the Primer Table at NNL West, this weekend! More photos coming...
  4. Thanks Mike! Yes, I will be working on fine tuning the fenders. I have 2 or 3 mods to do to the fenders, after NNL West, this weekend...
  5. Thanks Bart!!! The red color won't be around much longer, I ran out of Gray & tried the Red. The red is pretty messy, red dust everywhere. (Got in trouble for that one.) Bought a can of Duplicolor Gray Filler/Primer, the Gray dust blends in to everything much better, no problems! Next time you see it, the Cordvette wiil be in Gray Primer...
  6. Nice Clean Work! Very Realistic Looking..
  7. All 4 Front Fenders Are On!!! I got the second set of Cord Front Fenders carved to fit the rear of the Cordvette Body! Rear View...
  8. Thanks for the kind words Patrik!
  9. Thanks for the kind words Bart!
  10. Yeah, it just seemed right...
  11. BRACE the JOINT!!! Almost broke the Cord Section off the roof, because I forgot to Brace the Joint!!! I cut a thin strip of sheet plastic and glued it on the inside of the roof with Testors Red Label. I used clamps to hold the strip in the shape of the roof, while it dried. This will make the Roof Joint Very Strong...
  12. Filling the Holes... I traced the shape of these Boat Tail Holes on to that removed section of Corvette Roof. Then cut them out and glued them in place.
  13. Thanks for the kind comments Mark!
  14. Thanks for the kind words Bob!
  15. T-TOP ANYONE??? The Corvette Roof didn't line up with the Cord Windshield so I cut part of the Corvette Roof off! I replaced the Corvette Roof Section with a section of the Cord Roof. I fit the Cord Section to the windshield and then the Corvette Section. When I got the fit right I held the sections together and applied some Zap-A-Gap and baking powder with the other hand. Then I shaped the roof sections with file boards and sandpaper.
  16. SPLIT WINDOWS!!! I alway liked the Split Rear Windows on the 63 Stingray. So I attached a piece of sheet plastic and split the window...
  17. GOT PRIMER!!!
  18. Hey David! Yes, there is room behind the front fenders and in front of the rear fenders. I've already cut them out of the Corvette Body, but I'm not sure...I might use the Testarossa Side Vents instead.
  19. New Mock-Up!!!
  20. Thank You Shane!
  21. Thanks Tim!!!
  22. THANKS DAVE!!!
  23. Thanks! I am really looking forward to the NNL West too!
  24. HEY!!! Where's the License Plate? First I cut a 1 & 1/4" section from a Plastruct "L" Plastic Strip. Then I cut a slot big enough to fit the section of "L" Strip in the underside of the boattail. Next I glued the "L" Strip in to the slot. Here is a photo of the License Plate Area after it has been rough sanded.
