  1. MUSTANG FROG? I cut the transmission off the Mustang Engine so it would fit in the Engine Compartment. The transmission will be replaced with a transaxle from a Ferrari later. The Engine will mount on top of the Plastic Part that covers the "Axle Slot". I added enough strips of plastic to get the Engine height right. Here is the Engine mock-up. I will probably raise it up just a little bit more later. More Coming...
  2. Looks Great Bobby! Love the Stance, Real Nice Wood Too...
  3. FRAME RAILS and ARM RESTS! I cut some Evergreen Square Tubing to use as Frame Rails for the Frog. I glued sections of the Tubing in the sides of the Interior and Engine Compartment. The Interior Tubing will also serve as Arm Rests for the Driver. Here is the Under View. I added another section of Tubing behind the seat and between the Frame Rails. More Coming...
  4. Thanks for the kind words Shane!
  5. SHINY WHITE! I painted the Viper with Tamiya Gloss Pure White. I choose the gloss white because decals look better over a gloss surface. My plan is to add some Red Decals next... More Coming...
  6. Thanks Bob! Glad you like it...
  7. PRIME TIME 2! After a little more putty and sanding, I applied a couple more coats of Dupli-Color Filler/Primer. Rear View. More Coming...
  8. I spend a lot of time fitting the parts together and then sanding the high spots, fitting again, then sanding. I do this to get rid of as many gaps as possible and I only use a small amount of putty...
  9. Thanks David! I know, I keep finding more things to do before I can get to the Big Wide Tires and New Wheels...
  10. FROG BELLY! The underside fabrication is done! Next I'll spread a little more putty on the rough spots. More Coming...
  11. Thanks Gene! Glad you like it...
  12. FROG BELLY PAN! I started the Belly Pan by tracing the shape on a piece of plastic. Then I cut it out. It took a little cutting and fitting to get a perfect fit. I added a strip of plastic on the end to close the gap in the Rear Axle Slot. Then I added a plastic strip on the front inside to support the Belly Pan. More Coming...
  13. AXLE SLOT! I started filling in the Rear Axle Indentation. I cut a long thin plastic strip to fit and then glued it in the inside of the rear pan as shown. I also added the 2 small strips on the sides. Next I cut out the plastic section for the base of the Axle Slot. I just fit in place I didn't glue it in yet. I'll probably glue it after the engine is in place. Next I added the 2 thin strips on the ends of the Axle Slot. More Coming...
  14. THE FROG'S UNDERBELLY! I am going to get the Underside ready for a Belly Pan. I'll be using Plastic Strips and Sheet Plastic to finish the bottom. First I cut 2 strips to fit and glued them the sides as shown. Then I used a Foam Sanding Board to even them out. Then I added 2 more strips to the front as shown. More Coming...
  15. MORE THRUSTERS! There are 2 Fans already molded into bottom/sides of the Engines! I think I'll make them a little bigger. I cut 2 lengths of plastic tubing that are a little larger then the Fans. Then I sanded them smooth. I glued the tubing in place, around both of the Fans. Looks like the Thrusters might be able to swivel... More Coming...
  16. Very Realistic Interior! Real Nice Work Gary...
  17. GOING UP! I decided to add Vertical Thrusters so the Viper can Take Off and Land Vertically. I am using a Low Rider Wheel for the front Thruster. I marked the area to be cut out with a Circle Template. I cut the hole out with an X-Acto Knife and smoothed it a little with a Sanding Drum Bit. I removed the chrome from the Wheel/Thruster. Here it is in place. More Coming...
  18. Nice Wood Art!
