  1. Thanks man. I've probably only completed three other kits though, and those were LONG ago I decided to get into modeling about three years ago, but the combination of 70+hour work weeks and girlfriend in Canada (I'm 1000 miles from home at the moment) has meant very little time to get anything done. At some point I'm going to take a week off to just stay home and make stuff. I was thinking the same thing when I first opened the kit. I thought, the wheels supplied by Koenig shouldn't be smaller than the OEM ones from Porsche But I really couldn't find a suitable alternative, as far as width and sidewall height were concerned. I saw on another forum that you were thinking of combining this kit with the B+B targa version. Now that would be cool
  2. Beautiful, and is that a Revell kit?
  3. You are a brave man! I noticed how the door pulls are missing, and thought...If I were you, I'd deal with that by fillng them and smoothing them, then giving the car a more customized look. I'll be following to watch your progress
  4. Sure Monty, it's Tamiya Mica Red over a gold basecoat with TS-13 clear, all from rattle cans. This is my first attempt at spray-painting since 2000 I'm a total noob to the building process. I forgot to sand the gold before spraying the red, so the paint will probably always have some orange peel in it. This version, with the 440hp supercharged setup, and the body too wide for the drive-through, was a childhood dream for me. I can't imagine the cost of maintaining the boosted car . It would probably be more cost-effective to swap out the engine for a Renegade Hybrids LS7 conversion. But that's what I'll be doing with a 911, when I finish this kit
  5. Next up are some interior details. The stock door panels have no detail, and the e-brake is molded into the floor, so I cut away lot of that, and started scratching my own design out of styrene. From an angle: Stock seats were pretty terrible, and had no backs...So I filled them, made covers for the hinge areas, and made side controls. Still need to make controls for the top of the seats, and add a wash. Both pics are from the cell phone again And thanks for the kind words, Zukiholic
  6. Hey everyone, I'm new here and this is Koenig widebody 928 that I've been working on for the last few months, on and off. I don't get to update much because I travel a lot, but here's some of the work i've done so far. Filled the ugly hood scoop here: A lot of sheet styrene and putty here, since the Fujimi parts didn't fit at all: [imghttp://i34.tinypic.com/kdakno.jpg In putty, ready for paint. Front plate holes and JDM markers were filled. Right after the clearcoat was sprayed: Just setting on the wheels, which will be refinished. It needs to be polished again, this time starting with 6k grit. One shot with the trim painted. Body is dirty: And another from my phone camera
  7. This looks great. I want one in 1:1
  8. Awesome. I'm loving the combination of styles. Reminds me of a car in a music video (driven here by Mystikal). Yours wins though. Lower and with more boost
