Thanks Bob, I tried search but came up with nothing. No Ivo builds at all.

I just opened my new 1/25 AMT TV Tommy Ivo FED and was looking through the instructions and noticed no color references for anything. Where can I get some information on colors, engine, interior, frame, body, seat, tranny. All I have to go on is the box top art.---John

I got my Dukes Road Runner kit today and am going to model my long departed gold '73 Road Runner from this. The kit looks pretty close to what I had, buckets, slap stick auto, Rally wheels, dual exhaust.I just have to figure if it was Honey Gold or Golden Haze Poly, think it was Poly. Interior was also some sort of gold color. I did a model of it 3 or 4 years ago using the AMT '74 GTX kit with aftermarket decals, very brittle from what I remember. My car was a Canadian build with a 360, gold with white stripes. Heres a picture of the kit, mostly the old GTX kit with a new dual exhaust chassis.Excuse the poor quality of the old GTX pics.---John

Hello---This one has been a favorite for years. As a kid back in the early to mid sixties there was a gravel yard not far from my house. I used to see these as 10 wheeled dumps and concrete mixers. They had the same angled, not curved fenders with the single headlight in front of them. Who makes it and what scale?---Thanks, NICE build---John

Is there any web sites that give interior colors and or pictures?

I dug this out, my wife is a Petty fan and a few years back she started this did most of the painting except for the dayglo orange. She got tired of the "paint smell" so I have decided to finish it. I finished the chassis and started painting the dayglo orange. I was going to use the kit decals but they are cracked so I purchased a set of Slicks to replace them. Now I have to paint the hood, trunk, and roof dayglo orange as Slicks doesn't have the orange decal stripe as the Revell kit did. Here it is so far, still a lot of touch up work left. Blue is MM rattle can Grabber Blue.---John

Gary---thanks, that looks like my '53 F-100 engine posted above.---John

Randy---Would the tranny be gloss black or be better as a metalic gray to simulate cast? Eric, the area below the head looks like a "shelf" but maybe AMT meant it to simulate a "log manifold"? If so I still need a crossover pipe and a pipe exiting to the exhaust system on the right side. Thank you for your comments and help.---John

Got bored waiting for '74 Daisy Dukes Road Runner to arrive in mail so I started Mom's old brown Ford. Decided to do engine dark green and scratch build headers using my 1/25 AMT '53 F-100 flat head eight as a pattern to go by. Not much to see so far---John

Plastic you want, plastic you got. First pic shows parts, no headers. Second pic shows engine assy., no headers. Third pic shows '53 Ford engine assy. with crossover headers. I rest my case.

Daisy Dukes '74 Road Runner Has Been Released!
53John replied to Custom Hearse's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Nice kit. I bought a '73 off the showroom in April '73 it was gold with a white stripe, slapstick auto, 4bbl, 360 cu in made in Canada. Also had a Road Runner on the stripe behind the door post and trunk and hood if memory serves me right. Had the car for about 6 weeks, ended up totaled out when I missed a sharp curve, oh well to be 20 again. What I really like was the buckets, have never found seats as comfortable as those! I'll definitely buy one for "nostalgia" if nothing else. -
I am starting this and noticed no headers to attach to the exhaust system. I built AMT '53 F-100 and it also has a flat head 8 but had a cross over pipe from left side to right so the exhaust could exit(single exhaust) on right side to the tail pipe. Is the '49 Ford similar? Is there somewhere I can get this "aftermarket" or will I be better off to scratch build it? I am also guessing the engine would be dark green, tranny also or aluminum? My parents had a '50 Ford, 3 speed on the colum when I was a kid,I guess it was a '50 it was Hawaiian Bronze(Root Beer Brown to me), and that color didn't come out till'50. This is close to it as I get, really liked that old brown Ford!

Hello----new to this site and have a few questions. I have a few pictures for a gallery, what size do they need to be. Also I am starting the 1/25 AMT '49 Ford coupe and need some paint color info, basic stuff-engine color, frame colors etc. What forum do I go to for that kind of info. Most of my builds are NASCAR, Hot Rods, and Muscle Cars. I started way back in the early 60's with the good old AMT 3 in 1 kits. The good old days of hammerin the rims onto the metal axel, broke many a rim that way. ---John
