Thanks Dr Canky that means alot coming from you and some of the stuff I have seen you build. I didnt care for this kit to much, bad fiment and they left alot of the detail out, I tried to make it look as close to the car in the movie as I could, not to bad some of it could have been better but I kinda rushed it. The body was already painted so I left it and and just put down some BMF.

Yeah this was one of those old 3 Corvettes in one box kits I still have the other 2 tucked away somewhere. got all 3 for $15 at a flee market. I just wanted to build something stock so thats why its so boring but I like it, glad you do too. All I used for paint was the Testors gloss black in a can, sometimes black is hit or miss for me, most of my black cars have turned out ok, I few I had to scrap and go with a differnet color.

Thanks eveyone really means alot to hear that from you guys. Im not actually a Martin fan but I root for him haha. I like Tony Stewart but my Dad loves martin so the martin cars I built for him. Where in VT are you Bruce? cool to know there are other modelers from the green mountain state. I have been to louden a few times, I went in September for free, and got to see Smole win so it was a good time. I have been to all the tracks aroudn here, Louden, Watkins Glen, Pocono and Dover a few times each. I have a few more cars just need to get some pics and I have a few on the bench right now, hopefully soon I will have them done so I can share them.

Thanks guys, I found the trailer at the Hobbytown near albany and said the same thing, so I bought it, thinking of getting another but they take up alot of space on the shelf. I have a smaller one too but cant find any pics of it. The parking lot diorama is just a piece of plywood that I painted black and one of my other jobs is cutting vinyl so I just made some white and yellow lines on the computer and cut them out and stuck them down to make it look like some parking spots and a little road to shoot some pics on, nothing fancy really easy and cheap to make. I also have a garage and I just set everything up on my vinyl table and it makes a pretty cool diorama. I will try and get some pics up of that too.

Thank you glad you like it. It was the closest I could find to my real car. I still need to add the plate to the back. Just got some software now all I need is ink for the printer haha.

Thanks guys glad you like the Caddy. Im not a fan of most stock things so I try to add rims to my builds to make it stand out. How would you paint the emblems, now that you mention it it would look alot better if they were painted or BMF? what whould you do?

Thanks for the comments guys, yeah I don’t know for some reason I love flat black. I tried to paint it gloss black but I just couldn’t get the paint to lay right, so after about 3 times of painting and striping the body I decided to go flat black and it came out better than I had thought. I may look into touching up those bolts, sometimes I miss things like that, but I agree doing the little details really make it pop.

Thanks guys, I have been working on them for about 5 years on and off I finished most of them between 2009-2011, and I still have a few more to go.
