  1. Love the detail round the arches nice touch. this is looking so cool now cant wait to see it finished.
  2. a small update, re painted the body, flocked and painted the back seats and parcel shelf as there was not much detail in the back of the tub. Everything else now primed and ready to go. Had my 1st attempt at scratch building an oil cooler needs paint but im happy so far, Did the frint suspension as well as the molded pieces where not great. Thanks for looking. Bit of orange peel in the paint but may leave it and add clear. Seats will be painted to match body.
  3. Yeah them Japenese have some wild idea's i dont think im gonna go that extreme but will take alot of styling cues from them.
  4. Love this, i think i should start looking out for a set of Twins to build.
  5. the more scoobys the better, lovin that paint job.
  6. thats how skylines should look.
  7. Lovin the detail on that red chevy interior.
  8. I agree with craig but i think i would paint those wheels white as well.
  9. what did you use to make the fender flares? i have a datsun 240 that is crying out for some.
  10. After looking at them after some sleep i think your right although i am now tempted to paint them but leave the centers chrome. We'll see how it goes.
  11. LOL that looks suspiciously like an ex-outhouse.....would i be correct in this assumption?
  12. I would agree, wack the psi right up and see if you get the same problem. thats easier and quicker to rule out than trying all different paint mixes.
  13. Chris Boso is short for Bosozoku which is a japanese subculture of styling cars and bikes. In a very broad term it can cover various different styling cues look at my avatar pic for one style and check out this website for alot more examples. Check out the link and scroll back to see some of the styles, now im not into the huge exhausts or the 6ft front splitters but i like the low and wide look and the deep rims. boso style
  14. which is where my second experiment will be attempted to widen the arches to cover them but will start that soon.
  15. looks the dogs mate, loving it.
  16. ok im getting into Boso style and wanted some deep rims so I have experimented by cutting and re-attatching the rims for this model. And im very pleased with how they have turned out i have foiled the edges and still need to clean them up a bit but 1st impressions are looking good. Thanks for looking.
  17. Hi this is only my 2nd build its a mazda rx7 r1 from tamiya. Body, hood disaster tried to use vallejo model paints thinned with createx reducer and went badly wrong to thin lots of build up and total mess......except for the spoiler which turned out well, Go figure but lesson learnt and will be sticking to createx for now. All other pieces primed in white or grey. Comments good or bad please.
  18. Loving that colour.
  19. Drool....I haven't built a race car yet but I'm thinking its about time and like the look of this.
  20. Would have to agree with Mark on the mold lines, but the rest is looking sweet. If you can get some, P/E bonnet pins would look great and would save having to paint those molded one's.
  21. Love that interior. Whole build is looking amazing keep it up.
  22. Looking good Craig, looks a lot neater then when i did mine that molded chassis can be a real pain. Love the seat colour as well.
  23. WRXsti Here is the link to my completed scooby, it was my 1st model i a long time so quite rough. Funnily though you had already commented on it.
  24. There is a trend in japenese models to show some wear and tear and a bit of damage so i would leave it its looking sweet as it is.
