Hello,
I’m looking for help in the Portland area donating my brother's model car collection to kids in low income families, big brother modeling and modeling for the disabled. I inherited a large collection of 70s, 80s and 90s models when my brother passed away earlier this year. I would like to see his collection go to good causes if anyone in the Portland area helps disabled builders, mentor children in modeling or other worthwhile charities involving model building this could be a great opportunity. I have several hundred models, many are built and in display cases, there’s also a lot of unbuilt but not sealed box projects (some with painted bodies) and a few dozen unopened/sealed boxes as well. The collection is largely muscle car oriented.
Any locals interested in helping can contact me directly at dean@futrellautowerks.com, I'm also open for other charitable suggestions that can help inspire others to join the modeling hobby, or providing models to those who cannot afford to purchase their own.
I am not looking to sell these and only want to distribute via charitable causes.
Thank you,
Dean Futrell
