  1. I've already got several GL kits, so no worries!
  2. I'm finally getting a wrecker together for Cooter! (work in progress)
  3. I've wrestled for a while about which version of Cooter's wrecker to build for my Hazzard Garage diorama- there were at least 4 distinctly different wreckers used throughout the series (none of which matches the old MPC kit by the way!). I settled on the lesser known yellow wrecker seen in seasons 3 and 4 of the show. I'll likely do other versions down the line, but not until I get a few other car models done for the diorama (like a General Lee!). This is a work-in-progress, but starting to look like something!
  4. Yes its big enough that I'm going to have a hard time finding a permanent home for it when I'm done. But I really like doing this kind of stuff in 1/25; It's big enough that is feels more 'real' than small models. I've always worked in smaller scales. My last large model project was around 1/144; I had to break out the reading glasses for that one! Mark
  5. Consider that her stand-in. M
  6. Some updates:
  7. Incredible build all around- very inspiring!! I have to build another model of Sun engine testor for my project as well- you've set the bar pretty high for that one; now I have to make that piece a project all to itself! Mark
  8. Thanks folks! Thanks especially to the locals. Fall weather always gets my creative juices flowing. I'm still waiting for any hint of Fall in the air here in Florida, so in the mean time I've been pretending in anticipation of it. Getting tired of waiting...
  9. Funny you should say that- next door to Cooter's is a general store that I'm considering adding to the diorama eventually. It was never said where Daisy bought those shorts, but it would make sense!
  10. Finally added my pics of my project in the DIORAMA section- go check it out! ("Welcome to Hazzard")
  11. A few more showing what the interior will look like:
  12. I started this project several years ago but have recently been spending more time on it. It started as an idea to give a home to my 1/25 Dukes of Hazzard kits (which are still in the box at this point!). I've researched all 7 seasons of the show to get as many details as possible; it will have a full interior matching what was seen on the show. The primary material is Sintra expanded PVC sheet plastic, with some styrene and wood details here and there. My biggest problem is going to be finding a place for this thing when its done.
  13. Found numbers for them both, but I won't have time to call for a few days so go ahead and call/post if you can.
  14. Well Pumpkin Run sounds better for sure, but I have prior commitments, so I'll take what I can get! . I found the MAGS facebook page and the numbers for the MAGS guys. Thanks! Mark
  15. crazyjim: I have a conflict this year for both the Southlandz and Pumpkin Run (argh!), but I'm looking to next year for the Southlandz show! Where do I get more info on the MAGS show in Tampa? Mark
  16. I tried to post in the diorama section and its not working- I can copy/paste or upload pics. Any suggestions? M
  17. I fell in love with car models in middle school in the 80s and I'm just starting to get back into them now. Back then my focus was on TV and movie cars- anything that was packaged that way got my attention, even if it was from a show I didn't particularly like! Needless to say one of my original loves was the Dukes of Hazzard General Lee and the rest of the MPC kits from the period. I've re-acquired or found all those old kits, so I'm working on a large diorama to house them all. I'll be posting that in the diorama section soon. Mark
