  1. Greetings,,wishing all a happy spring,,just finished this Revell GSX Buick,,what a wonderful car,,that big 455,,rally wheels,,great graphics. And a rear deck spoiler. I know they only came in white or yellow,,but I wanted a different color. I did the twin 4 barrel/hi-rise intake setup. And not alot else.  Little bit of engine spruce up ,,wires  ect.  Great kit overall,,hats off to Revell on this one,,and look forward to doing more of these Revell Street muscle machines. And yes,,I really would rather have a Buick.  Cheers!

  2. Thanks guys,,enjoy your stuff as well,,I did the badman years ago  and it was fun,,but this is a bit cooler graphics,,and has 2 choices for rims and tire decals  which is a plus. I also added some decals that didnt come in the kit. Looks pretty good on the shelf.  Thanks for lookin and comments,,gotta get back to  watching "Counting Cars"  they build some amazing  1:1  cars and bikes.    Next from the bench:   AMT 1/16th   55 Bel-Air convertible ,,build on!

  3. Happy Spring all,,just cleared the bench  of this one. The Monogram 1/25th  55  Chevy gasser,,which is the same as the  "Bad Man" yellow 55 Chevy gasser kit  ,,just with different   decals.  I kindof like this one better  with the  Patriot theme to the decals.  I did add some x-tra stuff from my leftover parts bx,,the corvette  bumpers on the front,,the drag chute,,different seats,,and some stuff in the engine bay,,  a tach for the dashboard.  Its such a cool kit to build,,Ive always enjoyed the early Monogram stuff. So,,on to my AMT 1/16th  55 Chevy convertable,,,,,,in jade green metallic.    Thanks for looking,,,Build on!

  4. Hi all,,I was watching the  thunderbirds TV show,,,circa late 60's or so,,and I was amazed at all the model  set work,,and vehicles ,,cars,,trucks,,landscapes in that show. The characters in the show are all puppets,,which is alot of work in its self,,but the space ships,,cars,,trucks  ,,landscapes ARE AMAZING.  There was no computer generated graphics in those days,,everything was hand built,,if you have a chance ,,check out that show,,its wild.

  5. Happy Spring all,,its warming up here in motor City,,getting ready for the Autorama at cobo hall,,one of the best car shows in the nation,,along with the Woodward cruise in August.  I just finished the MPC  67 '  GTO,,it turned out ok,,,warning about the front grill set.  It dosent fit right. lol.  not sure if its just the production lot I got my kit from  Hobby lobby or what,,but man  ,,had to file ..sand ect to get it this close.  And as always  I chopped,,cut,,modified quite a bit of it.  I put some real tires on the back,,added some headrest to the seats,,added some side dump header pipes,,opened up the rear wheel wells to fit back tires,,installed a 409 mtr from the x-tras bx,,and 671 blower. Installed a replacement rear end from the x-tras bx.  Rattle can sprayed red from the hardware store paint. hand painted everything else.  Overall its a cool kit,,but it will test your fabrication+ modification skills.  maybe if  I had just left it stock it would have been easy,,but I hardly ever do that often.  Build on!

  6. Great Bike,,love the bike kits.  {Sidenote:  If you dont want to do JDuty,,when they ask initial questions for you about your background or relatives ect,,just mention you know/known/hung out with ,, someone in law enforcement,,  somewhere  and they will excuse you from duty  under  "questionable  conflict of interest"  as to you being completely impartial . It worked for me years  ago.}  And I do have a relative who is a LT Detective  on the Detroit police dept.  And when they heard that,,  I was one of the first to be excused from JD.  And Ive never been called back,,and that was over 20 yrs ago.

  7. Thanks so much folks,,enjoy all your works as well,,so much great stuff to see here.  I was going to build it as the factory issued white color,,but  I rarely do "factory issued"  versions. Not that there not any good or whatever,,I just take what the factory started with,,and take it to a different level/style.  But hey thats what its all about I guess,,the freedom of building the model the way you want.   So thanks for the comments,,and  next up on the bench::   "THE LITTLE RED GOAT"  w/a 671 blower on a  409 mtr!   lol,,,,,build on!

I love it!  I built a street rod using mostly parts from my parts box and you know what… It’s one of the most fun builds I’ve ever done. To say nothing of the fact it cleans out your parts box. Anyhow you did a fantastic job on those my friend. - Mark

Thanks so much,,I hear ya about the 1/2 built blobs,,much one can do with them.  Thanks again,,,S

  9. Thanks so much guys,,you do some great stuff also.  Yea,,what I started with was just the body{ the stock kit was a convertible}, ,,interior bucket  and bare chassis,,no A-arm sets, or rear end,, no shaker scoop for hood  didnt have one in my stash of parts,,,thats it.  wasnt quite sure where it would go when I started it,,but that smoked windshield  looked good mocked up to the body,,the stock windshield frame was pretty crunched so I just cut it off. And the front seats are from some GM car,,cant remember which one. But it looks ok. The back bumper is some chevy  50's bumper,,I didnt have the stock front/rear lower  valence pcs for the body,,so just added something that looked like a bumper,,guess I could have done a bunch web chasing for all the right parts ,,but  didnt need to really.  Thanks for the  comments,,Build on!

  10. Greetings all,,enjoy the works on here.  This is a  "what if" car,, entire build  using leftovers from all my spare parts bxs,,so I have no idea what brand kit it is,,got it at a swap meet 1/2 built blob+ parts in a ziplock bag for 5$.  I didnt have a correct front grill set,,so I put a charger front grill on,,looks ok.  And the back tail lens area is a front grill from some custom kit of something. So its a kit bash for sure,,but it has its own look,,and thats all it needs.  Build on!

    Really nice.

Thanks so much all,,if I had the $$  this comet 1:1 would be in the garage  for sure,,along with many others.  A cobra kit car,,factory 5 racing builds a great  kit car,,now that   would be a blast to build!

Just sort of mixes it up for you.  You should constantly keep turning them ever week or so after you shake them. I try to do the same with spray cans.

Ok,,good to know,,one more question,,what makes enamel paint "gel-up"  after a few months?  It happens to only certain colors,,Ill open the cap to stir  and the whole amount of paint is a "block " of jello like blob  and its junk at that point,,and toss out with still 1/2 the paint in bottle?  I add thinner to many paints after having for a month or so,,but some colors just seem to do it more than others.  Its a mystery to me.
