oh yeah! can i get in on this? I'm already in two more Community Builds. but i cant pass up this, it sounds like fun. plus i got some part cars i can turn into a lemon. and just a thought since these cars don't have to be in show condition. can we make the deadline lets say a month from the starting point? that way it will keep every ones interest going, and we can show are builds a lot faster and vote. just my 2 cents. if not whatever deadline you choose is fine edit: didnt see this thread was a month old. so can i still get in on this?

well i just got back into models after a year and a half. but after i was done building them i would put them on ebay and sell them off. i have to many kids running around here and id rather give them to someone who would take care of them and appreciate them. i have about 2-3 dozen spreded out over the U.S. and a few over the pond. to me that brings me more joy knowing that my work is in other states and around the world and displayed in someones collection then just gathering dust at my house

thanks fellas for the kind words! i definitely do feel refreshed. i got a lot of ideas running through my head on a lot of builds now. i think that's what i needed to step back for awhile and clear thee old head oh Greg Cullinan when you have time send me a link on the bike thread would definitely like to see it.

well iv been building models almost all my life. about five years ago i really got into it big time. buying models left and right going to all the shows and swaps around Cali. never really got to know anyone would just go in and come back with a poop load off models lol. but about a year ago i kind of lost my interest in them. i got into my other love when i was a kid of old school bmx bikes. but about a month or so, i went to clean out my spare bedroom and saw all my models about a 1000 plus so i got a spark in me again. so here i am i found this web site last month and i got the fever again so i dug this resin kit out 2 weeks ago. its a 57 desoto fire flight by modelhaus. i still got to detail some more of the interior, its got flock carpeting some chrome foiling 3 tone colors. the body is 2 tone still got to lay down some more foil and then clear it and the i can start putting it together so tell me fellas what you think? how I'm i doing so far remember its been over a year since i touched a model so be nice

this guy is not the one with the problem, even tho he has a reserve its the people that are actually bidding on it, that should be shot then dragged behind that thing he calls a car

this year has been rough. 2010 will definitely be a year i will not forget. im going to have to pull a rabbit out of a hat this month to pay the bills hopfully next year will turn around for all of us thats had it rough(crossing fingers) plus tax time is coming up, that wont make all the stress go away but it will help some i hope now back to model building

like many others here i have yet to buy a case. i buy them one at a time, but for some reason every time i see a 59 caddy at a hobby store i buy it. I'm up to about 12 now and yet to build one. please help me! edit: btw does anyone have a unbuilt 59 caddy for sale

my first model was a 26 ford sedan delivery back in 83. i hand painted every part after i built it all up lol. came out pretty messy but cool for a 8yr old kid at the same time i dont know what happened to it. but i found one in a hobby shop about 2yrs ago still in the plastic. but still haven't built it. one day lol
