  1. I seen that Ramcharger car at a hot rod reunion in Bowling Green a few years back, not only was the car there some of the guys from the original Ramchargers were there to give out free posters with autographs, that was really cool to me. One guy from the original group was in an electric wheelchair with an oxygen tank in almost a 100% humidity and high 90's and he seemed to love every minute of it, to me that is what hot rodding is all about. They also ran(or tried to run) that same car down the track but she definately wasnt up for the heat that day and had some issues, still a great time.

  2. I have yet to order anything out of the US off of Ebay but I do work at a auto parts warehouse that gets parts from alot of foreign countries and Customs can and sometimes do pull random packages, crates, pallets to the side for a closer inspection. But thats just them doing thier job and I dont see how it would have anything to do for higher shipping price or extra fee. I think it goes back to the old saying "Buyer Beware" especially on Ebay with any extra fees.

  3. I just ordered a airbrush and compressor and was wondering if the HOK paint is worth the price? I know the colors look great on thier website but are they really that unique. Ive also looked at the Createx line including the wicked colors as well as the Vellejo paint line, which Ive read good things about both. Ive also thought about the acrylic craft paints at Walmart that are really cheap and quite a few colors but are they any count on a plastic model car?

Lastly besides a booth, respirator, and paints what else do I need to go along with the airbrush, like what do I need to generally clean the airbrush after each use that wont harm it, etc. Im hoping to have the electric run to my shop within the next week so I can really sink my teeth into building some cars and would like to get anything else I need bought before then, I dont want to get in the middle of a build and realize I need this or that. Of course Im not rich and dont have a lot to spend on models so on the cheap is the best solution for me. Thanks for all the help as usual guys!

  4. Just thought some of you guys might be interested that Joann's has Martha Stewart brand flocking powder at 25% off($2.99) online only, also you can put in coupon code EFDX40 for 50% off one item. I just ordered one each of brown, blue, black ,red , and grey for a little over $21 shipped. Im pretty sure the bottle has little holes in the top in order to sprinkle the powder out. I have seen some pictures of models where it has been used and it looked great.
