  1. In this case the word "luminary" was a euphimism for "bright" or "star". You might consider the terminology sorta tongue in cheek. Gregg, If i remember the terminology NNL was coined in Toledo by the local club there. Also, if I am correct the initials stand for Nameless National Luminaries. By the way Gregg ....................."humble opinion" ? LOL Bob
  2. This is to everyone with special attention to zebm 1. I would be happy to autograph any box art that shows the kit that I was responsible for as well as any articles that I have written. If you have any old Revell kits produced in 1963 through 1970, I probably had a hand in them. My magazine articles ran in Model Car Science from the first of 1964 to somewhere around 1969. Also had a few articles in Car Model during this time span . If I can do anything for anyone just send me a PM and I will get back to you. Bob  ps. to zebm 1: Thank you for including me in your list of modelers such as Augie and Dave Shuklas, but as far as I am concerned they are in a class by themselved, I pose no compitition. I just talk louder. b.
  3. Thanks Jarius, If I have to buy all new hats because the old ones won't fit, I'm sending the bill to you Bob
  4. I also think that this design excerise is pretty cool. It only has one drawback as I see it. The "wrap-over" windshield looks good but I wonder if the glass manufacturers have developed a better product that when this idea first appeared on show cars back in the mid 50's. Most of General Motors cars shown in the road show known as The Autorama had wraparound/wrap over windshields and the distortion in the glass was horrendous. Bob
  5. Lets' face it ! It had to happen sooner or later. It was just a matter of time before I discovered this web site. Hopefully the neighborhood will survive. Anyway, I am here. I moved in yesterday the 5th of December, in the year 2006. My name is Bob Paeth and I am an "auto-holic". I started out innocently enough when I was three years old by customizing little rubber cars with modeling clay. Little did I know then that I would be baring my soul to the members here on MCMF. That was 68 years ago, ( you do the math ). All kidding aside, I am happy to join this group and hope that I may be of some help to everyone. Many of you probably know me already so this bio will be short. Those who do not know me ........................well hurry and catch up. I have been active on other web sites for several years and have never posted any of my work. There have been a few times that my model work was posted but not by me. Hopefully, in a short while, I will be posting some of my "stuff". I am far from being the greatest model builder but I am proud of the imagination that goes into what I create. I will let you people decide for yourselves. Bob
