  1. i work at walmart, they dont have it :D

they are converting my Walmart to a super Walmart..(Englewood Co) Despite the mess.

I found my bottle of "Pledge Floor Care tile & Vinyl Floor Finish (with Future shine )

    Clean Scent.

premium finish for beautiful shine and durable acrylic protection

    Johnson a family company.rolleyes.gif

    27 oz bottle.

It, has worked as the old Future did and 91% Isopropyl alcohol will clean it off if not too dry easy.

but i think it might take a while to get hard future off stuff thats dried for a long time.

  2. I have the bed part assembled and the first coat of primer caned on for a guide coat. the car tray is painted steel with chrome mixed in might clear it maybe." Or not."

any who here are some more shots.

  3. Most of what is available to us on the shelves of the local hobby shop is good stuff we expect to find, stuff we know has been released, stuff we have two, three, four,or more, on our shelves at home. Every once and awhile I'll find something that I've never seen before, maybe something old, maybe something from a forign source, either way it keeps me coming back, scouring those shelves. Heck, I've been known to venture into the aircraft section or even look at armor.:P

i have gone to my LHS's a lot lately . I look at the RC car area the Rc plane and chopper ( Sig stuff) areas too for ideas and to see if any thing their doing can help me. i also

look at the armor and plastic model aircraft kits but for now i am interested in model cars. and i wander over to the magazine rack. wink wink nod nod.

the train stuff and tools help some. three shops have game tables .and one can see what the wargamers are doing lots of white metal figures going on there .

one has a sale table one never knows what one might find there i got a Model Cars Calender (08) for 50 cents the other day and some Alclad clear Base for a buck..the old stuff not the new water base.

i get a 10% discount there for showing my VA card. try that online. good stuff comes in and goes out so i check often . i read the printed notices about clubs too they have on the board . not every thing is online.

if you Have a hobby shop you can reach do so not just to buy a kit . give them you name and phone number or you email addy and they will let you know when that thing you asked about is in.

  4. and i have some almost see thru wood from Cigar wrappers it's Cedar smells nice if you don't smoke one might buy from a Cigar store, 'empty box's.'

    as i did.

Some one gave me the liners i have out of their cigar box as they use a humidor .

a thin (very thin) veneer can be tacked down whetted and shaped over white glue or Micro Kristal Klear. that has tacked off or dryed.

if you use super glue wet the wood and capillary action will stiffen the wood and stick it to most any thing.

  5. Stach? do you mean pictures of the fifty COE or more of the Cord. if you mean the fifty Ford I can but do i want to put them in this thread?

the Fifty is on hold for now to almost finish the Cord as i want to make my mistakes on it ( a learning experience for sure) i am making it up as i go..

if i open the hood on the Fifty i will scribe/cut it open and tilt it forward on one big hinge i think but for now it's a closed deal..

man it's a lot of sanding i need a small scale DA and shuffle board. i might chop the top a bit on it i don't know.(the 50 that is)..

and i have not decided what type the bed might be.. i like where your going with yours. keep on trucking ;)

  6. Update: Some more shots as the project drags on and on .Sorry about the Bump

I think that the Photo's kind of explain where i am going.but maybe not.

I am mocking up as I go, so sanding(I needed a break from sanding) and painting waits for a look at what the whole will look like.

Besides if i work out how i will build this i don't have to choose a Color yet. ( Tamiya TS-19 Metallic Blue) i think with lots of clear over.

i am thinking of making cab stacks with heat shield from expanded metal screen .(Brass)

I plan that the Cord hauler will haul a midget racer still to be built.

as the cab is very narrow . *To keep inside front fenders)

    Wheel base is 7 inches (175mm) rear track about 2 1/2 inches (65mm) front track About 2 3/8 inches ( 60mm)

  7. You could try G-Max i hate it but you might like it. 3Ds max is Another one but expensive and a real steep learning curve and one must own a real good computer if you render what you make.

i use Maya 9 and i got it on eBay there are 500 different ways to use Max or Maya for each thing you do. takes time and some classes to even start .
