Wife are doing,.....she is doing all the sanding with Supervision,...I have 2 TBolts and a 64 Cornet inthe works but parts are not here yet so I got this model it was open but started it because my wife liked it and I felt we better at least get the body painted so it has time to cure so I fixed the front fenders,go back and some where there is a topic New Crown,..but anyway this is the 1st model I have built in about ,...it's been awhile,...but I have been collecting models and parts for awhile so it's time to put them to use,...I'm still using Rattlers but I will be going to try a Airbrush again,
I've used 1 one time

I'll take all this advice your willing to give me on this build

are not that good,...yet,......Like the AVIS commercial,..Gotta try harder,
I looked over the site and read tips and tricks and used Bill Geary's trick on chrome removal,..worked like a Champ,...I took the chrome off the injection unit so I can paint a Cast Aluminum,...I want to get a airbrush so I can try the Alcad Chrome, I got a free Sample bottle a couple years ago ,have no idea how to use it,...I will keep the wire in mind that will come in handy in the future as I hone my skills,..Yeah right,....Steve I went to your web page ,... and I went to Bill's ,....both are unreal,...maybe 1 day.

Fair on TV,..EarSplittenLoudenBoomer,..some weird name like that,
The second is a Cobra that is a redesign and That Motor is a 427 Ford Cammer with M/T Hemi heads and valve covers, Mickey Thompson use to machine his heads in the late 60s and 70s to fit the FE series Ford Motor (332,352, 360,361,390,391,406,427,428) I have 1 i can send you pics, and ford also made the heads, but the 427s with these heads were called Cammers, because SOHC and a 6' timing chain

The primer dried fast because I had left the heat on low about 82F,so I moved it in the house and it is still fuming alittle.I will need to do some spot primer after I work the lines alittle more,...I'm getting kinda nervous about the final coats of paint after my stuck nozzle spray can episode,..
I have a Compressor I bought awhile back when I thought I was converting, What Airbrush would be a good buy for and works well doing mostly Car models?.....Steve thanks for the compliments at this moment it is 50 percent luck and 50 percent determanation to make it look like a nice car,....at 1 time I was thinking about a piece of small fishing line stretched down along the top of the top fender then putty'd up,...just would be a guide to go by ,and help keep a ridge
Thanks,

Some reason I keep calling it a 1/16 but you probably knew that,...i'm still trying to figure it out,..I choose MMD putty because the glue and plastic I have not mastered and putty is easy to coutour,..as i typed this it is in the spray booth drying an I hope will be the 1 of the last coats of primer, this is the 2nd, It looks like I will be taken a hard look at painting models with a Airbrush ,...just had a nozzle stick on a can but I realized what had happen and was able to keep in control,....I will turn my attention to the 1/12 '37 springer HD that will be shot the same color,....I'm open to all suguestions on this build ,I posted some pics of the car ,the interior will be Buckskin I'm trying to fing a pair of NICE wire wheels and tires for it,...

so I found a Color Me Gone Cornet body molded in White, I really did not want to do any prep work at all just want to see how the color is over white and dry time,I washed the body in warm soap and wter and gave it a wipe with mineral spirits and turned the heat on and the vaccum let it air evaporate didn't even wipe it for trash painted @80F and 60 hum,...I had a set of these rims laying there for a Trans Am Camero different tires
just tempted to throw a RG Hemi in it some foil work and leave it alone
,it sound simple.

I never find anything in them so it must be down at the bottom,
That truck is cool,..I remember it but I have never seen a model of it,
That Cop was following me when I first got in town ,he gave me a thumbs up,...funny he sounds like Jackie Gleason From Smokey and the Bandits,..
he might be sittin me up for a Radar Trap,..I like the Galaxie you posted ,is that a glimps in to your future?...I have a resin body galaxie
l would like to attempt a build on that subject,...but have more than enough going on right now.

I said as long as we could included some PE and or some Resin parts ,both agreed on a Stock or close to build ,she likes the light Met Puple with a white top and the Fuel Injection,...let ya know on a divorce date,....No it should go well now I have someone to sand for me,...but if you can point me to some parts to help detail the build would be appreicated.

This my truck, the rear suspension is not race and probably will not be for a yr or 2, The frt suspension is what they used now for this yr truck,..but this truck will not be raced and is a milder form for my Boat business,so it tows boats still plays hard in the Sand and Dirt of the Outer Banks of NC, ,....The rear 1/4s the hood, frt fendersare fiberglass it will have a Roll Cage,Master Craft Prerunner Seats, but then it has alot of modern stuff thrown in electric windows ,A/C,etc..., I will check my e-mail ,sorry you got bounced I will correct that,

a crack can be seen starting top of the Driverside fender the middle between the A post and the back of the frt wheel opening,..it split ,..it's deep, and it's on the big flat areas ,trunk, hood, roof, alittle on the sides,
It's like the paint dried to hard ,..it's a very hard surface for a paint.....The gloss and the depth is nice,I was thinking selling it and move along to a resin 1/16 Vega Wagon,..the Draster has it too,..I have a resin body for that I will make it a BeeBe Mcmullagan,...I just getting back into building makes you want to quit before you get rollin,..not the first more likly not the last paint job I'll loose.

a 1/16 Jungle Jim and a 1/16 FE Dragster,I used Plastic Cote Anodizing paint with their basecoat and the other day I heard snapping and I found the paint was actually cracking before my eyes,..there is no clear coat ,I polished out the paint by hand,...i don't know????they were nice while they lasted

Fred Flintstone,...I think everything I have is a loner,...I know the 2 fingers I type with are,..can't get use to them ,....I was looking at the '56
Chevy I think it would be nice as a straight up build ,everything opens, has some nice LOOKING chrome trim, don't know how True it is,..maybe some one who has built can id any problem areas,....1/12 57 is cool ,it either
bone stock build or find someone with alot of resin and PE parts for it,
I think I would like too build it stock with alot of detail and a 2 tone paint
or Build the Notorious Black Widow car that Chevy built for Stockcar Racing in 57,....I saw some very old models in his collection,..all cars and trucks,..I don't know if I collected and didn't build them if I could keep myself from aleast opening the box .

reference pics but I'm afraid when you just get at this again paint selection is down I have 4 aluminums are close to and 2 of them are the same color by different MFGs,..but I'm mixing white with silver and to diiferent silvers to come up with a different color that i have not used,Bill
I went at the fenders again this morning and they really are starting to look nice, this car will be an off stock build but not by much,..the car of the car and a few other things but iot is almost all out of the box,...except for the wheels,....I'm trying to get a set of real wires and some descent tires,..there will be some other things changed simply because it doesn't look right to me,..
Thanks guys for you help and Compliments,
Barry Beachum
