wheres tips and tricks!?>! I need one one lol

yea i bought a testors paint marker to pull this off, but the paint flows way too fast for my likings. I then thought about the after effects a sharpie gives off, and it may actually look more like rubber with a sharpie...ill probably go that route, my paint is looking really good and id hate to mess it up from lack of patience from a brush and tape. BTW what happened to tips and tricks section?!?!? -

OK so i know everythings moving from one sight to another, i just read that in general...might be why i uploaded progress on my supra like 3 days ago and it didnt show up an hour later...but what happened to tips and tricks!??! i have a question on whats the best way to do black window trim, like rubber... i know lots of people use masking tape but i always pull it off and it leaves jagged edges on the part. I know window trim has to come out flawless, i bought a paint marker but the paint flows so fast it'd drip right off the bat...check it out.... im on a roll with this one guys id really hate to screw it up on the minor stuff, call me a noob, im not but to details i am, havent built in years and im 26 so yea lol im a noob at detail...please throw me some pointers

I am not trying to sound like a jerk, i think i speak for everyone on here a lot that has to do with posting your models on here is a way of getting some input on doing things better, right? I think you should be a little more patient with your builds and youll be a LOT happier after they are done If you use masking tape for, lets say for instance them tail lights, they would have come out flawless. And im just going to guess that the back left bumper signal that got ripped, is because it wasnt ready to come off the paper yet, you really got to soak them decals good when your taking em off and applying them. Also wet down the body, keep them decals WET when applying them, dab with a que tip when set in place. Im not a pro, i make mistakes too lol we all do, but patience is the key to getting them builds to make you smile, right? Btw your white paint looks real good, especially with them gold wheels.

i had this same kit right when it came out....my cat jumped up on the shelf it was on and chewed the back pillar on it so i made it into a convertable. Then 2 years later i moved and it got smashed in its box, so it now resides in my parts box;(

WOW a plastic forsale sign, thats awsome! Its might actually work, and also sam if you could grab that probe kit if you see it i would definately be interested in you shipping it, not only for the part i need but i would like to build a diorama vs my dads garage for this car...its a long story that involves wrecking my first PGT and getting a shell from 500 miles away and bringing it back to life, if i can ever figure out how to post pics on this site i can show you guys, its really neat. Its definately the most work ive done on a real car.

So hello all to this wonderful forum, when i was a kid i built models like a madman, and now i have a 4 yr old son and my g/f works 3rd shift, so i decided to pick it up again. Ive been on and off for years, but ive been off for probably 5ish? Anyway i got an AMT 91 probe and all was goin well...til i got the bug i used to get...the 'RUSH IT' bug....i pulled a huge nono today that ive never tried but wont again, the flipup headlight tilted down a little when i reinforced it to the bumper with glue, the glue dried and pulled it down so it wasnt flush. I thought if i took a lighter very quickly and roasted the glue it would soften and i could bend it back, but instead it roasted the fine edges of the flipup cover, and also warped them, and now im extremely down for being so stupid. IVe never made scratchbuilt parts so i dont know what to do, if anyone can point me into the right direction for this fix ill be so happy, this is actually the car i drive IRL and the kit cost me 30$ on ebay and is 80% DONE...ty..btw i would attach pics but it keeps sayin no file was selected to upload, i dont know what the deal is there
