  1. well the issue for the springs is my 1-1 has much bigger springs, so since this is a how it will look one day build i went with the kelgerman air ride rear setup. if i used blocks they would be 6-8 inch blocks which i do not like blocks and would never run them on my personal truck so they will not go on a model of it. but the air ride is fully adjustable and i can pose it where i want. i also started on the flat bed, so i have some pics of that too. the wheels also came in a few days ago, they are not that great of a casting but i can make them work. suspension down suspension up close up flatbed with suspension
  2. hey yes, thats a bit of a delima, the stock ford frame does have a slight bow to it, so a little is ok, but i think its too much. i will mock it up again and stare at it some. the front sits as it should with a sky shackle flip and dana 60 swap off the stock 250 so i am happy with that. i think to deal with the fact that the rear springs at stock height do not match the f superduty springs on my 1-1 ill model this with a kelgerman air ride setup. this will be the happy medium i think, as i plan to add one some day. anyone got tips for a functioning air bag setup? i think itd be sweet to have that adjustable ride height. im planning stake pockets with removable wood sides, a tool box or 5, and spare tire mount, but a lot of that is waiting on supplies to arrive.
  3. the dana 60 is also scratch built and ill be posting more as it comes. i have actual 8 lug rims on their way, and some styrene stock to start on the steel part of the flatbed. does anyone think the rear needs more height? i dont have any blocks in it like the 1-1 so i was thinking a 4 inch overload block would be a good idea to set the rear up. also forgot the hitch detail.
  4. this is a build of my 1-1 truck. its an 88 ford f250 diesel, right now it has a c6 auto and stock bed. but i wanted to do a 5 speed swap and build a flatbed, so to make sure it will look right i decided to build a model. anyway here it is engine is scratch built and i forgot to get a pic of the turbo the 1-1 truck of mine, yes its a 95 front clip 96 bed but its got 88 cab and doors etc. thats the reason for the title hope you all enjoy this build
  5. more work done started a flat bed came up with a trailer idea and now dully bed all because i couldnt find a mud tire i liked enough the semi tires are 1\32 scale and look like a 19.5 in this scale
  6. got the frame shortened cab cut up and a few other things paint pics soon
  7. well cut the cab apart to make it single cab and now im shortening the floor and adding it to the interior
  8. ok on the real life truck how i would do it is 19.5 chevy box truck rims (think fritolays truck) they were 19.5s and i want to recenter the fronts to make make them look like a dump truck running super single fronts
  9. how do i contact him to buy something not on ebay through a pm? thanks you been a big help
  10. idk for sure yet heres a pic of my 1:1 truck i drive daily (forgot to add it in to the other pics) but its a work in progress too so but it would be sweet to have a scale model and now im thinking going dully with it due to having 2 other vehicles right now well see a lot of the builds i do sorta wander i had a nova that was built stock then prostreet then it went rally racer all before any were finished so this one i hope to follow the real idea if i can find some sick 19.5s with a meaty tread ill add it dully or some super single 19.5s
  11. and thats an elcamino in the background i got bored with it and gave up like 3 hrs away from done
  12. this build scratch built d 60 thinking about the semi wheels went with the millitary ones i shaved off the body moulding and started making the motor look like a diesel but im not liking it so im going to re do the motor and another project i have old 70s looking pete with a funnycar that will sit on the back
  13. thanks man im photobucketing pics now should get um up soon i think im going to make this one like my current truck so i gotta start cutting up the cab also i need to find the 96 front clip because i dont want to buy a whole kit for just the fenders
