Does anyone here have photos of the "Incorrect" body and the "Corrected" body. I just received a kit off of E-bay and everything in the box is complete and unopened, except the bag which holds the body. The body I have is white, but I'm not sure if it is the "Corrected" body or not. Sorry, I should have taken a photo of mine. Thanks! Paul

allegheny replied to allegheny's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Yeah, I almost had one this weekend on E-bay, but got outbid! Those models are not cheap! Oh well, theres always more to come up for sale! Thanks for the replies! Paul -
I have seen some of your other builds(buy the way, great models!) in this forum, and I'm looking forward to lots of updates and pictures on this build. I started the "Best kit for '64 GTO thread", and had no I idea what would end up happening(touchy subject), but I did see alot of great '64 GTO models and learned alot! I plan on building a '64 GTO too, in the near future. Paul

Best kit to build 1964 GTO?
allegheny replied to allegheny's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I just wanted to say thanks for all the great replies and outstanding pictures of some great '64 GTO's. The feedback allowed me to really learn alot, and I went with the Monogram (red molded plastic version). Should be delivered next week! I'm sure when I start building it, I'll be asking more questions! Thanks again! Paul -

Best kit to build 1964 GTO?
allegheny replied to allegheny's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
So if I go with the "stock" version with red molded plastic, will I have any issues with "bleed through after painting? The red molded versions are cheaper and more plentiful then the "2n1" versions. Thanks! Paul -

Thanks George! I think I will get the Monogram/Revell 64 GTO. I do not want to invest the $$$$ for the original issue AMT version, especially if I was to make a mistake! Is this the one to get? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MONOGRAM-1964-PONTIAC-GTO-RED-OLD-1-24-FS-mcm-VINTAGE-MODEL-KIT-/380375376219?_trksid=p4340.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DDLSL%252BSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BIEW%252BFICS%252BUFI%252BDDSIC%26otn%3D8%26pmod%3D380362604681%252B380362604681%26po%3D%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D3383126763597682419 -

Thanks again everyone for your input, I've learned alot! I purchased an AMT 70 Challenger Johnny lightning kit today on ebay. I've heard that the engine in this kit is not that good. I been told that the AMT 71 Charger(Round2 issue or an earlier issue) would have a great 440, but it has an auto trans. I thought that the movie car had a 4 speed manual. Well, maybe I'm being too fussy, and should just build it! Again, it sure is fun getting back into this hobby again after 35 years! Paul

Hey guys, what would a MPC 1970 Challenger fetch on E-bay these days? Also, what ballpark price would you pay for one? The reason I'm asking is I might look into buying one, if its not too crazy! Buy the way, great forum! I've learned so much since signing up! The more I read the forums, the worse the "BUG" gets! Thanks! Paul
