  1. Cool small window,I'm on your side with the small Windows. I didn't like them when I was younger but since buying one that has changed.
  2. Love the frame really cool with what you can do with technology.hope my truck turns out half as cool.
  3. Finished the trans tunnel not perfect but flocking will cover it up.
  4. It's been a while since my last post due to my mechanical hell of a week ,lost the trans in my hot rod truck and then brakes on my maverick but all is well and my drivers are back to normal. now it's back to my tiny hot rods. I got some tamiya putty and grafted a trans tunnel in from a 64 chevy truck, I just hope it turns out well this is my first time using the tamiya putty. I found some eyelets that looks like little velocity stacks for my Webber carburetor.
  5. Blower is done just need to wire , plumb install belts and alternator.
  6. started to build a blower intake and carb adapter for the 235,want to keep it counseled under the hood. Pardon my hand modeling
  7. It was stock the inside radius would bulge or flare out then by the time I sanded it out to be uniform it was to thin. I may have just not had the correct amount of heat. So I did it my way.
  8. I tried heating styrene sticks at first but they distorted badly any where hard to make uniform. I found a piece of sheet styrene the same thickness and cut them out, I was wondering if anybody would noticed them.I will have to check your build out thanks for supporting mine.
  9. well your from my area think he was before my time I'm fairly young @ age 25. Thanks for the support, I'm a wrench as well in a restoration shop.
  10. Thanks for all the support everyone. Built rear bag mounts tonight.
  11. thank you. The 58 does say hales on it, they are always draging something cool out.
  12. There is a local speed shop that has one that's kinda my inspiration behind this build.
  13. Made bags for the front out of thumb tacs look pretty close to deflated airbags ,installed rack and pinion from a prostock car.
  14. Decided to change the rear suspension from a 2 link with a panhard bar to a equal length 4 link with a watts link this is what I have so far.
  15. Its okay i have a hard time telling them apart just went with what the box said, I'm out of my usual realm I'm a 60-66 chevy guy. Let me guess the fender badges are different.
  16. Found most of my six cylinder parts just need my valve cover. used the intake and header from the 69 Pontiac 6 banger. Used the blower from Mickey Thompson attempt 1 and a Webber carburetor.
  17. Went to the show down yesterday day in farmers branch and bought a modelhaus 59 cab and bed. The idea is to build a rusted farm truck on bags to pay homage to my up bringing of hotroding farm trucks. I so far have the frame worked out I stole from my bagged 88 Silverado project that stalled out. Going to dare to be different use a 235 with vintage style speed equipment may even supercharge it. Because it's a farm truck theme I have mud grips on the rear with white wall inlays, plan on using farm name on the door and Jr west coast mirrors.
  18. Thanks everyone! These trucks hold a special place in my heart. here are 2 of my real trucks that I have been working on 1 is a long step the other a short fleet. consequently don't finish as many models as I would like.it took me almost a year to build my little gmc.
  19. Well this is my first post I have Ben lurking around this site for a while.just finished my 60 gmc it was a short fleet chevy truck. I scratch built the bed sides used the finders, 2 sets of steps grafted together from revells 65 chevy truck, tail gate is from amt 70s gmc. Frame was stretched using 2 amt frames. The gmc 305 v6 was scratch built using 409 valve covers, a international engine block, timeng cover is a Oldsmobile, intake is from a NASCAR kit shortened to v6,used kits distributor and car,air cleaner,3speed Saginaw transmission. Hood filler and grill where given to me from a friend I pulled a mold so I could make more later also used the v6 emblem from a diecast to cast a mold to make resin copies. Dash was modified to the gmc version. Thanks for looking and reading.
  20. man i hope you can fix it. these trucks are one of my favorit subjects to build 1;1 and in 1;24 scale. i fliped when i seen you started the build.
