  1. I made a couple of stops at other forums, but this one seems to have a lot more traffic and knowledge being passed around. No progress made today, I was going to, but my wife became concerned when I turned off football. So, it was football Sunday again, lol.
  2. I was looking through your airbrush videos and in the one titled "AIRBRUSHING BASICS: SET UP & PRACTICE" you make mention of a formula that is acrylic artist ink, something, and distilled water. What is the second ingredient? Thanks in advance.
  3. Thanks, I'll probably pick that up. Still don't have any pics yet, but I've got to test fit a few more parts, then I'm hoping to get it painted Monday or Tuesday..supposed to be a bit warmer both of those days, but rain monday morning. Since I gotta paint out in the garage, I don't want the humidity to affect anything too badly.
  4. You guys inspired me to work on it..well done, those are some good looking trucks. My brother used to drive over the road and local both, and I went with him from time to time, but seemed like all 5 companies he drove for always put him in Internationals, so it made us envious of KW drivers, lol. If this goes together smoothly enough I plan to give it to him, now that he can't drive anymore. That's why I was a little upset when I heard snap. Wagoneer: Was that flatbed a kit? I've been thinking that if I keep this one or build up another one that it needs a trailer, and would work great for the previous model that I broke the wheels off.
  5. I'm liking my touch n flow, though I use it with MEK. It took a bit to get the best angle down..too steep and it flows too fast, too shallow, and not enough flow.
  6. I didn't know rather to threadjack or create a new one on the same topic. I'm starting on a KW900 by revell, and I wanted to alclad the air filters to match the stock chrome plated pieces, and avoid stripping as much as possible. It's kind of hard to tell on their website, so I was wondering what finish would match the stock pieces the best?
  7. Alright, sorry, I jump to conclusions too fast sometimes. When I heard snap, I was thinking like the ones I had when I was like 7 and they were a sloppy fit and more caricatures than anything.
  8. Just went and looked at it again, the pieces did snap together. WTH? It says skill 2 and specifically says not to glue the wheels, so I assumed the rest of it had to be glued. That takes all of the fun out of it for me. It's opened and I don't have my receipt, so I doubt it would be worth even trying to return it to hobby lobby. Sorry for the rant.
  9. Sorry, I'm still new to this, but I thought snap kits were the kind you don't use glue or paint for?
  10. I hope this is the right spot to post this... This is only my second model ever and I wanted to document my progress, while getting tips and suggestions. I ran into some issues in the first step of the instructions: There are alignment pegs and holes where the airbags meet the chassis and the bottom half of the axle housings meet. The problem is that either the pegs are too tall, or the holes are too thin. I'm not sure rather I should pin drill out the hole and then cut the peg flush or just cut the peg down. I'm still new to this and don't want to screw anything up too badly.
