  1. So unlike non metallic colors, if I get orange peel or rough paint I could wet sand for a smooth finish. So if I get a rough finish, there is no fixing it with metallic colors?
  2. I bought some MM Fathom Metallic Green and I remember reading somewhere that you can not wet sand metallic colors? Is this true?
  3. No its Semi gloss black oil based paint, not a primer. I recently got a plastic spoon and brush painted it to see how it would react. I didnt see any reaction, been 4 days. I was going to find a primer to use before I tried airbrushing it on. It came as in 1 quart, $9 from Lowes.
  4. How was installing the chassis with engine, into the body? On a previous build i had a hard time slipping the chassis in and fitting.
  5. I have some Rustoeum semi gloss oil based and was just gonna practice airbrushing it on some bottle and plastic spoons. I might see how it might react to the plastic on some old bodies and if it is fine, will paint on my models. Anybody have experience airbushing this paint? How much to thinn?
  6. Just my first double action AB, what paint should i practice with just to mess around? I am just using Laquer rattle cans now. Any cheap paint that is recommend to practice?
  7. I painted my roof semi black and them masked the interior as I primed the outside body with laquer. I found some flaws on my body like seams that didnt get filled all the way from the putty and also some letterings were still visible from the primer that I thought were all gone. So now I got to take the masking tape out of the interior and wet sand the putty parts again and resand the flaws. The adhesive from the blue painters tape kind of ruined the semi-gloss black. I was thinking of just wetsanding the primer and prime the body again to check the flaws and after I am done coloring the body, I will just hand brush the interior semi gloss black since I will not have to mask again. Seems like masking and taking it off and remasking again is tedious. Is this the best solution?
