  1. i cut the interior tub up so u can make the door pannels inner door pannels. i have never cut up this much of a car before so im a little nervous about how its going to look. any comments are welcome thanks for looking
  2. i have done a little work this week. been kinda off and on and have done alot more reserch to put more detail into it than my last car. i dug out an engine plate from the parts bin and make motor mounts to fit it and glued it on i cut out the fuel tank and took a hood from an s10 and ground it down to fit over the hole then cut a trans tunnel out of an old chassis i had to make it fit. its not perfect but i might weather it and make it look like rust. if u think i should fill it with body filler i am willing to try it just let me know

  6. Nice job thats super sick. Its a whole different direction than most people would go with which makes it that much cooler
  7. Man that looks so sweet I love the engine craddle n the shifter u really put great detail in this one. If u need referance pics wecrash and we crash proboards. Com have some great pics but ur doing a fine job.

  9. Lol yeah im goin to make some modifications to it. Its all I had to fit and its better than the chassis it came with. The kit chassis had the exhaust and rear end molded into it and my skill level isnt the best for cutting it all out and scratch building a new one. I think this chassis was actualy from a duster if I remember right

  12. im starting on my newest derby car which is a 65 chevelle super waggon kit. i wasnt happy with the chassis so i found a different one in my parts box that fits perfect. its an old glue bomb but itll work. im probably going to rough this one up a little since my last one was a pre derby car. im going to see if i can improve on my skills a bit heres my new chassis and my last small block chevy with an auto trans i could dig out, i also found an engine plate. im going to carsons custom model parts to order parts later tonight and i got a boo boo. hahaha

  17. wow them are impressive, i have hardly any workspace at all lol. everything i do pretty much gets done right here
  18. well its finaly finnished. i tried a lot of new things with this car like spark plug wires brake likes battery cables and rusting. i think i did a great job and am getting ready to start some more projects and improve my skills you guys have been great help. i still have to find scale ready rod or make somthing up for the hood and trunk. but this is what it is for now hope u like it

  20. U could also use a tooth pic instead of a brush. I have the same brushes u to n they rnt the best in the world so somtimes I grab a toothpick to do some detailing
  21. Im just getting into the detailing stuff right now to. Im trying a bunch of new stuff like wireing and brake lines on a derby car that way if I mess it up I can take it off or redo it without to much consiquense some of its very simple to do if u take time and have the right tools and everyone on the forum is here and glad to help with any questions or opinions. U def have some great skills
  22. i built one car with actual ready rod and the rod itself dnt look big but when i put the nuts on it it makes it look too big. maybe i can try finding smaller nits for it or i kno i could get some solid brass rod thats pretty small. thanks for the wire idea i might have to try it also

  24. Haha thats funny. But true I enjoy building more than ever now since I found this forum. Ive learned so much and am trying new things n my cars are coming out better and better every time
  25. I found a bumper so im scratch building a braket to hold it up hope its not to big for the car its of a buick gnx it looks pretty tough mocked up
