since i dont have alot of money for aftermarket parts i decided to make my own rear fenders and rear bumper from scratch. i used a garage sale sign and some styrene and a lot of super glue lol i think it turned out great for what i had to work with since it was irritating and time consuming ill be making the other side some time else lol i also got bored an make a 5th wheel cover that i can take off and put on whenever i want to

i would have updated a long time ago but my photobucket wasnt working right so far i finnished the frame up i think it turned out great make some plates to cover the rear frame and make it look all pretty. im still in the process of it right now heres a mock up the stance i lowered it a little bit but not so much that it cant be used as what these were intended for

what did u make ur rear fenders out of i was thinking of make somthing of the sort i just cant figure out somthing to go around the wheels like that

I got my frame strech finished except for putty wich ill finnish tomaro i also did some cutting and lowered it a little. Been workin on it here and there got pics taken bit will have to post tomaro

them are the uglyest camaro years to me lol but i love them in scale its not somthing that ul see everyday

well as promised heres some updated pics this is my fuel tank in primer and sanded where my fame broke and fixing the frame a little better still have to find some thick plastic strips for the outside rails

oh ur not takin over my thread lol. i always check out other peoples pages for anything that might help my builds and if my thread helps somone else thatll be alright with me. im sorry i havnt been posting much, got a lot goin on right now and am taking my time with the build no need to rush lol. i started repairing the frame tonight hopfuly it works better this time lol. and i got a bit done on the motor i might have to get new brushes becaue this yellow is tearing them up so the paint dont look right. i also got one fuel tank done and painted might take 2000 and wet sand it so itll be nice and smooth and shiney lol. ill have pics up tonight but for now i havnt done a whole lot

Lol well thanks for trying to warn n helping other modelers atleast u admit u mistakes n apoligizee i learned alot about this group already lol im thankful for all ur help. I have a small update i primed n painted my frame today and i dropped it when i was bringing it in and it broke in half. So i have to reglue it maybe put braces down inside the rails and i stripped the tanks and did a little sanding and primed on n started more sanding. Im trying to get the seams out

thanks for the warning, buying from the internet is pretty dangerous, i usualy find one person who casts n stik with them just because i know what i am getting, seems like a pretty close bunch of people here though thanks for all your help so far im sure ill have many questions since im new to trucks. its nice to have a place where people look out for u and give great advice. thanks again guys

sorry i didnt get pics up jus been busy lol. i havnt made much progress at all in the last couple days trying to do some research and finish my derby car for a contest lol streched the frame a little bit idk how many scale inches or anything heres some of the power plant painted im trying to do a little detail but this is my first rig so i keepin it simple heres the rear axles. gunna be body color still gotta paint the air bags n stuff on that. thinking of clearing it and making it more shiney first tho.

Thanks guys i got a bit done tonite im goin with orange and cream for colors its not painted yet but i got the motor in cat yellow n extended the frame a little bit i think its turned out okay for my first time

hey guys i been building models for a whyle now and i just got my first kw900 i see all ur custom trucks and i was just wondering where u guys get ur parts and stuff im not the best scratch builder yet but i plan on doing a bit of custom work like extended frame and visors and a texas bumper. thanks guys ill make this into a wip of my first truck build up to.

i read ur posts i think it turned out pretty good. i still have some work to do on the hood and front fenders to get them to look right but i dont think i destroyed the look of the conversion either heres some photos of the damage, still have a lot of work to go though i know alot of you didnt want any damage but i was already commited once i read ur posts. i dont think i destroyed the look of the conversion

The shacklys.are to stiffen the rear of the car and keep the leafs from coming apart and holds them together once the rearend goes up im sure theres other use for this trick. Thanks for the comments guys im takin my time on it. As for the body i already bent it up a bit more i want to keep it so u can tell wat its is still so its not to mangled up lol

sorry i havnt updated in a whyle. been nice out so i have been busy. i got the rearend done and the core support finnished with headlight buckets and ratchet straps i think it looks really good for scratch built i got the rearend done. it was such a pain in the ass. dont want to do this agail lol and since thats basicly all there is to the chassis i started doing body damage. i didnt realize how hard it would be on a wagon does anyone have any tips on bending a wagon. sedans are a little easier lol
