  1. Hi Chris, been an avid watcher on this for some time. Love the workmanship. Looking forward to seeing this progress.
  2. Hi guys, appreciate the encouraging audience. As promised here are some more progress shots. Gas pedal and linkage basics trial fit Brake pedal and master cylinder supports installed Brake master cylinder made. Brake and reverser levers in place and the steering wheel boss Pedals all built and brake cylinder The bare bones Chev small block from the 55 Nomad kit needs lots of work Quick change and brake backing plates test fit Starting to add some detail to the engine block, BSI thick glue is added to "mold" the added items in Resin cast up some better looking heads and finned valve covers from the Lindberg Bull Horn kit
  3. Hi Bob, no front mount on this digger, planning on the usual top mount with old Hilborn barn door injection setup
  4. Hi Scott, the main decals are all hand made. I laid the outline decals over hand burnished gold foil and then carefully cut them out and applied them to the body like applying chrome foil.
  5. Thanks for the encouragment guys, away on business most of this week so I'll post an update next weekend.
  6. Did this some time back. Wasn't planning on building it this way but due to some wheel tyre problems it sorta steered in this direction, I've got another kit now so one day I'll build the old school version. This has scratch built tube aluminium suspension all round with airbags. All the bolts were drilled out and replaced with chrome pins. The grille is photo etch and the paint is my own mix of candies and ghost pearls. The wheels and tires are Tamiya RC. Hope you like.
  7. Thanks Shane, I'm always checking out old magazines and thought the outrigger frame would look cool for the nose of the Vette. Seen similar ones on some old Gasser pics.
  8. Hi Jeff, this the old MPC 1/16 scale kit.
  9. Well made some progress over last week. Got the 31 Ford steering box mounted and installed the steering shaft. Machined up a bearing mount for the steering shaft bracket. Also installed the seat mesh and head restraint mesh. Used photo etch brass with solder for the frames. Added the push bar at the rear. Also added the mount for the forward/reverse lever and brake lever.
  10. Sort of a blend of Roth and Reisner, sixties show rod, cool build
  11. Well spotted John, yep shaved the screen height and sculpted the roof to sit better.
  12. Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words
  13. I'm liking it Dave. Want to build Superfly one day to go with the Glidden car.
  14. Thanks Brett, appreciate the reference to the Stang. The Vette is know in their as well.
  15. Hi Brad, thinking of using the small block from the old 55 Nomad kit, got a quick change from a Minicraft kit, all the other drive line bits will be parts box or scratch built. The back tires are my that I cast M&H piecrust slicks, not sure on the rims yet and the front wires will be scratch built.

  17. Sorry Felix, re-read your post, the inlet manifold was painted in ModelMaster Metalizer Jet Exhaust.
  18. Hi Felix, thanks mate. The base primer was ModelMaster White, followed by Parma Faskolor Faspearl Gold then a top coat of ModelMaster High Gloss clear.
  19. Yeah, fair call, it was a last minute decision to flip the moon tank to a whisky barrel. I kinda looks a bit too big. Cheers again for comments guys.
  20. Well I've been planning this build for some time and now I'm into it. Thinking of dropping a blown small block into her with all the usual old school running gear. The chassis as you can see is all scratch built. I'll keep posting progress shots.
  21. Triple A rated quality work John, you are an inspiring modeler, appreciate you sharing.
  22. sweet
