a new topic has been created and will be the default topic for these 4 cars
I thought you would of squeezed a what if pickup truck into that lineup.
I may have indirectly now that i think of it. I have a replica of my 75 F250 of how i would build it. Its shelby themed and blue but not sapphire blue. it is ford tractor blue i believe.

A fantasy scenario that works for me. Carroll Shelby May have been hiding concept mustangs that "didn't exist" atleast not to the public. After the Europa production ended and the Mustang II came into existence Shelby saw potential in this pinto based stang. He went on to design a wide body concept car using a 351 as the power plant. Ford was presented with the idea and turned down shelby. Shelby was still hopefull in one day selling modified mustangs though it would be a long time before an actual production car happened. In the 80s with the success of the fox body Carroll was working with Chrysler on the turbo 4 cylinder dodges but felt that the turbo 4 in the mustang could be boosted and create a monster of a car. The concept was designed starting with an svo but was turned down by ford yet again shelby continued to work with Lacocca at chrysler until the era of the Shelby Series 1 a new Cobra. The 90s Redesigned Mustang was quite a change from the long running fox. Two concepts were created one in 1997 using an SVT car as the basis and the same in 99 these two were turned down because SVT had a good formula and Ford didn't see a need for a higher end version of their Monster. When finally in 2005 with the new retro look mustangs Ford gave in and saw a need to bring the past too the fiture and set sales of various models to start in 06. But where did they end up? Speculation is that they were either scrapped or hidden somewhere that only shelby knew about. models will be members of my Shelby blue crew using the same shade of blue as all the previous shelby mustangs. I have been working with these for a while now and hope to finish them by Thanksgiving.

Not into convertibles

Well there was a lightning at one time but it kind of got sacrificed for the engine and it was actually in pretty poor shape from bad bodywork. I know shelby modifies raptors currently so you never know a pickup could happen.

Well its been a short while since i have built a Shelby or what if Shelby, most recent being my 2017 Ford GT. Well I have come to realize that I need more. So I did a little online shopping and purchased what could be then end of the Blue Crew until the next generation of Shelby unless I come across a 1/25 Cobra Daytona. So Here is a reminder of the Crew and the 4 new What if GT500s. These pictures ended up on a few facebook groups and then i remembered i forgot the what if 2017 GT500 so thats why it got its own picture. The Monroe Handler isnt a stock body so it may end up with GT500KR stripes.

I am currently in the process of recreating my 1:1 F150 the wrong way. I have the diecast 2005 flareside and am trying to recreate my styleside. The thing is I am not good at creating plastic panels so I'm doing it the wrong way... grey putty. Now I also have the rare and expensive 1/24 Lincoln pickup. Has anyone cast the bed to create the 6.5 foot styleside because the lincoln is a 5.5 foot bed. Because I am using my phone I will have to upload more pictures in the comments...

looks good although that dodge bed on that chevy bothers me...

Very nice work, cant wait to find one for myself, I love a good snap kit seems like sometimes the snappers have a better subject matter than the glue kits.

Sorry, not quite
That was one of the first things I tried when the ElCamino kit first came out. It's a bit too wide.
Someone could try cutting the front of the '69 body and spreading it a little to fit the '68 part. Don't know if it would be noticeable or not though.
You might also have to widen the hood a bit or maybe use the '68 hood.
Dosen't help with the back bumper and tailights or interior , of coarse.
Someone should try it.
that was my dad's other option but like I said I found the bumpers on ebay. He did make a high capacity oil pan for it too. I almost feel this topic needs moved now. But thanks for the suggestions guys. I will make sure my dad does some posting related to this eventually. He also is working on a color me gone car and has a few other Mopars lined up if I can get him to become an active member.

Thanks

Yeah I wish I coulda done the modelhaus stuff for my dad but my uncle is a little impatient that's why he never continued to build model like my dad. My dad is working on the rear end of the kit to work with the old 68 rear end. Here's some pictures for y'all seeing how he never gets on the forums with his account im always the middle man...

Actually found the bumpers from the old 68 chevelle kit on ebay for my dad so that's what he is going to use. Thanks though.

From the pits deep in the back of my mind where i dont normally comes THIS! (cue creepy music). This was just a quick build to get me away from muscle and trucks, not much to write about.
-
Thanks guys. I do really like the 65s
-
Looking good, so what did you do with the wire wheels in the kit?
saved them
-
Thanks guys. The color combo was really brought to life by the two cars I wish I could have saved. The grey one was my grandma's which ended up getting scrapped. The white one was my dad's but essentially my first car. It had red interior like this model and the Grey one was the influence for the body. I found the car fax on the white one after my parents traded it. It got scrapped too... :'( both were 92s. Bottom picture is one of my senior pictures from 2013

SUPERCHARGED! Finally back to the forums and the car section, got bored with trucks so when i found this sealed 65 Riviera for $20 on ebay i had to get it. Just a quick 3 day build wish i would have had some bare metal foil instead of silver paint... but my local hobbytown always seems to be out of the stuff. Didnt know what to do for air cleaners so for now itll have those stupid carbs. Also have some pictures of it with my 69.
Thanks For Looking

That's kind of what the monroe handler is for me in this group. But it will have custom made shelby decals instead of cobra 2 decals.
