  1. Sweet!

I haven't built one of these old Fords in many years!

But I did pick one up some months back.

I've always wanted to build one in either "Inca Gold" & "Silver Mocha" or "Coral Sand" & "Silver Mocha".

    Nice work Bo!

The coral sand and silver mocha Ford looks a lot better, not because of the color, but because the other car has goofy radial tires. Eww... Hate radial tires.

  2. Just pure awesome... Loving every bit of it... Love them builds of the old Fords you have there!! Great job!!!

    Thanks!!

So, did you like the FoMoCo Modelers Club on facebook?

  3. Wonderful display! What did you use for the plank flooring?

And are you going to try a resin '48 Tudor Sedan next?

The floor was done with contact paper cut in stripes.

I got the resin body and interior, but it has some a lot of problems. It has wrong shapes, a flat roof, poor casting, and mixes 1946 with 1947 and 1948 trim. Traded it for a Monogram '50 Ford pick up kit. If I ever do a Tudor (more into the fordor myself) I'll do it from scratch with styrene.

I had promised myself not to touch resin parts again, and well, this time is for good.

  4. A old 1930s era dealership fully restored, and filled with dream cars.

The blue Convertible is the daily driver.

  5. Thanks guys.

Now that my Ford dealer diorama prototype is done, I'll start building a more detailed version.

In the meantime, will take new pictures of my fat fender Fords in it, to see how thing look li e in general.

This one was the first of my Forts I took new pictures of in the new diorama.

  6. I had this issue on a Monogram 1957 Bel Air, the ones in 1/12 scale, and on a AMT 1957 Ford, the one moldem in blue.

On both cars, one of the tires had done a nice job eating the trunk lid.

I could fix the issue on both kits, but had to remove more plastic  from the damaged area, as the styrene was affected, and had became soft to the point you could get pieces of plastic out with your finger nail.

The only other issue I had was with a set of AMT tires, from the 1934 Ford five window coupe. Used the tires on a '32 Vicky, and the inserts were painted black. I used Tamiya semi gloss black spray paint (lacquer). The paint "turned" from semi gloss to real glossy in about two years. Removed the whitewall inserts, and the plastic was not damaged at all. Stripped the paint, and repeinted them with ModeMaster flat black acrylic. It was about six months ago. Untill now, they are still flat. Let´s see what happens with a little more time.

  7. Saw one. It has some identity problems.

The trim on the fenders is 1947/1948.

The trim around the windows and on the trunk lid is 1946.

The B pillar is wrong, as is the entire rear window.

And people complaint about the Revell kit Sedan Coupe having a flat roof. Take a look at the roof on this body.

I really love Fords, and would like a Tudor, but will keep steering away from resin.
