  1. Sorry to here this about this kit, I have one sitting in the basement, and was hoping to get to it one of these days. Anyone had any better luck with it?
  2. Bruno; Where did you get that picture, I think that's the Wagner's Classic Cars that's about 3 miles from my house! I almost remember that one being there!
  3. Is it still possible to get in on this? I haven't built anything in 'Loooonggg' time! Most likely would try for a 69 el Camino, Maybe get me motivated to do something on the 1:1 JT
  4. That's the only color it should ever be! I've got one of the original 71 Challengers molded in that color, need to get one of the new ones and "park" them next to each other. Thanks for the review on the round2 kit, I'll have to get one of them. If I ever get the chance to get a 1:1 version, it will be that color, if it came that way or not! JT
  5. I thought there was only a Bonneville Conv. in '57. Hardtops didn't start till '58? JT
  6. It looks great, lots of good detail! Have one question, is the blonde in the blue pants TOPLESS! Bet that gets a few double takes! JT
  7. Nice Job on the build and paint, love the opening doors and trunk! I started one a couple of years back to to be like my 1:1, but I was getting ready to change the real one so I held off. What year is your 1:1? I've got a '92 that was is 'Stock' class, but am switching to "STS2', and adding a roll bar, so I can run it on the track. Hope to see more of the build. Maybe it will get me motivated to dig mine out and finish it. Autocross season is right around the corner! ( they do come in other colors, but red is OK too! JT
  8. Steve I love that 58, is that a promo or a resin kit?
  9. Hey would this be the Dave from KCSlammers! I know it would! How you doing! This is JT,used to be Slammer and autocrosser. Your stuff is still looking great as ever! Is that a 70's Corolla in the background of those trucks? Would love to see more of that one myself. I'll see you at Heartland in a couple of months.
  10. I too, have always loved the Impala's. The Buick is beautiful, but my nod goes to the Impala. Now put it up against a Bonneville, and see which way it goes. JT
  11. Hey Billy, long time no see! I see you're still into the el Camino's big time too! It's been quite a few years since I saw you back in NY. Next time I get to town, I'll have to look you up! A lot of changes and moves in the last couple of years have kept me mostly lurking, rather than building. Hope that will change shortly. JT
  12. Jairus, I'm with you: Large cheaper compressor, and quick disconnect fittings. I have a 5hp 20 Gal Coleman Compressor that I have in my garage and can use it for airing up the tires, using my air tools and just general stuff around the house. And I didn't even go the pipe and fitting route, I just ran a 30' hose along some water pipes in the ceiling to the model room! Quick disconnect fittings connect everything. The long hose to the compresser, so I can take the compressor out into the yard if I need. The long hose runs right to the moisture trap (QD of course) which is directly connected to the regulator, with a QD on the other end. That way I can take them both out and use them elsewhere, like when I did some airbrush work on my 1:1 car. As far as airbrush(es), I have an Aztek A4709 Dual action which I use for the 'good' stuff, and a couple of cheaper generic single actions for some of the other stuff like chassis and under carriage work. I guess it's all what you're comfortable with and can afford, and I'll go the cheaper way if it lets me afford more kits! JT
  13. Hey everyone, just wanted to say hi! I know a lot of you, and some of you might even remember me. Go by JT just about everywhere. Some of you know me as the guy who does Fred's Model World web page, (yea that's where I remember him!) Had the pleasue to meet Gregg a few years back at the Heartland Nationals in KC, with Pat Dunnivan. Just found out about this forum from Zebm1 this evening in the PSAB chat. Been in and out of modeling over the last couple of years, but am always lurking. Hope to talk to a bunch of you in the future, but time will be limited, as Autocross season is gearing up again, and time to crawl under the 1:1 and get it tuned up!
