Hi guys this is my first post on this forum,it's a 1/25 pro mod daytona body that i got from slixx about 4 years ago, upon closer inspection i found the body to have many flaws and inaccuracies so i decided to modify it to be as correct as possible, this has been a long term project that i have only just recently picked up again... http://images54.fotki.com/v627/photos/2/2470052/11646103/P2040001-vi.jpg http://images55.fotki.com/v508/photos/2/2470052/11646103/P2040002-vi.jpg http://images16.fotki.com/v378/photos/2/2470052/11646103/P2040003-vi.jpg The main modifications are the sides have been completely reshaped to remove the molded in door vents,a genuine 69 daytona kit roof and front roof and A pillars section from the spares box to acheive the desired windshield rake has replaced the too thick and out of shape original, completely new hood section and engine cover, new larger front wheel fender vents,,front splitter has been lengthened and blended in,front fender sections have been extended out with milliput to get the rounded look, the rocker panels have been extended for ground effects plus to raise the rear end,new reshaped rear window, milliput has been added to the deck lid area to blend in the roof plus to get the characteristic hump below the rear window, the rear wing has been removed and two channels have been cut in it's place for the placement of a scratchbuilt version, and all the wheel openings have been reshaped... http://images51.fotki.com/v628/photos/2/2470052/11646103/P2040004-vi.jpg http://images60.fotki.com/v662/photos/2/2470052/11646103/P2040006-vi.jpg http://images16.fotki.com/v383/photos/2/2470052/11646103/P2040005-vi.jpg http://images59.fotki.com/v111/photos/2/2470052/11646103/P2040001-vi.jpg Still to be done is the final reshaping of the side windows,a new rear panel to turn this car into a superbird, and the addition of window frames for the doors and rear window...Thanks guys, comments welcome.
