Hello from New Zealand on the first weekend of winter: I've been working on and off on this for about eight weeks, just at the moment, bench-time is limited because of the demands of real-world,and I'm guessing that I'm not the only one who's written something similar on this forum, right ?? So just a couple of self-explanatory shots for now, to show you where I'm up to right now. Insides were sprayed ADC Grey (a USAF colour), using Xtracolour enamel, then masked and primed with Tamiya acrylic grey straight from the rattle-can. After rubbing back with fine grain wet'n dry, I mixed a tiny drop of Tamiya acrylic orange into their lemon yellow and shot three medium coats. I followed this about a week later with another rub back then applied two heavy coats of Humbrol Gloss-Cote (their spelling): More in a minute, don't touch that dial. Ian.

I used to draw all of the time ; it was a daily ritual . Oftentimes , I'd finish at least one drawing in one sitting ; I would seldom "revisit" , "revise" or "embellish" any of my pieces . Once I considered the drawing done , it was done . This drawing is one of the very few drawings which I decided to embellish post facto . It was originally just a black and white piece . I've used a G2 Gel Pen almost exclusively since 1998 . 100% freehand . So , about a year or two after I finished this drawing , I thought , upon coming across it again , "Y'know ... this one needs to be 'colourised' !" , so out came my Prisma Color pencil set . After I'd finished colouring the pic , I put it away again . Now , it's Christmas , 2003 . I'd remembered that a good friend mentioned on numerous occassions just how much he liked this particular piece . So , I found a frame in one of the local thrift stores ; but just framing it wasn't going to be enough ... ... so I dug-out one of my 1969-vintage "Peace Hand" decals ( at one time , I had a roll of ten of these gems !) and arbitrarily-placed it between the frame's glass facad and the drawing itself . Without further ado :
